Spooktacular Halloween

Happy Halloween!  This is the last of the Halloween cards.  I wasn't sure I was going to get these made... always with the high hopes and plans, and then other things get in the way.  We suddenly up and bought a new range and refrigerator and they're being delivered this morning.  That means I did a lot of cleaning yesterday -- you know how you always clean before the maid comes.  Hahahaha!  How many of you have a maid?

Today I've used another Art Impressions set.  This one is called Spooktacular and I have no idea when it was released, but it's new to me.  For several days now I've had the "Monster Mash" song stuck in my head.

All coloring is with Copics.  This one is simple in design.  I drew the border and punched the corners.  The splatters are a favorite old SU! stamp which I'll never part with -- Itty Bitty Backgrounds.

Next card... I cut a Marianne Designs Anja's Oval die from CTMH  Majestic Mountain cardstock, sanded and glued onto a same color card base.  The sanding roughed up the die a bit much and tore some of the lattice, but I thought it went with the whole Halloween-spooky-old-house-with-a-mummy-creeping-around theme.

I really must run off now as I have a whole lot of other things to do.  Leaving you with the "Monster Mash" song so you can get it stuck in your head, too.

Wishing you a frightfully delightful day!

Your Halloween cards are the best! I sure have enjoyed seeing them. I recently did some sanding, too:) By the way = I did not listen to the song. I didn't want it in my head! But thanks, anyway. LOL!

Two terrific cards. I love Art Impressions. They are so unique as are your cards. Love what you did with them both. Congrats on the new appliances. Yes, I understand about housecleaning and no, I don't have a maid, although I wish I did. My house wishes I did too.

Oh wow new appliances, that is always fun! A maid, you know I never really wanted a maid just the work to be done, LOL! I don't think I would care for someone in the house doing my work, my sister does that for others though.
I can see why the song has been in your head, this is a fun set, with great sentiments to go with them. Terrific coloring, love Franky :) Neat ideas with the corners and your framing. On the second at first I thought that was an embossing folder that was sanded until I read it, love the destressing with this, neat idea! Goes great with the chandelier!

These are so cute and now I am singing the Monster Mash too. Does that date us? Enjoy your new appliances. I know my Mom had a gal come in to help her out by mopping floors, sweeping and other little chores. But if she had a real mess my Mom would get around in her wheel chair and try to sweep some of the mess up ahead of time so the lady would not think her a dirty home owner. My Mom was a crafter and you know how messy at times our crafts can leave a room cluttered up. Mainly she did seed pictures on paneling and sewed quilts for her hobbies.

both are cute. Love the mash image. I remember that from way back when. No Maid even though I could sure use one. Enjoy your new fridge & stove. Always nice getting new appliances. Have a great day

I don't even need to listen to it to have "Monster Mash" stuck in my head, lol!! These are fabulous cards, Leslie!! LOVE all the monsters, and your coloring is absolutely perfect! I can almost picture a Halloween party going on. And that mummy...I don't think little ones would be spooked by him, either. Great cards! And yes, I have a housekeeper who comes in every other week per doctor's orders. Too much stress in my life, and I needed to get rid of some of the big stuff - house work had to go! I do a light cleaning as needed every week, and keep up with the bathrooms and kitchen every day, but otherwise, I leave it until Iryna comes. Fab cards and sending hugs. Bev

What great cards you created this week! These cards fit the bill! They brought back so any memories - we always played this tune over and over Halloween when the kids came knocking for their treats!! I guess that dates me! Love them dancing around having a great time! I love that Ittsy Bitty stamp as well! I could continue making Halloween goodies forever!

Both cards are fabulously cute, with the spider-clinging-to-chandelier extra cute! Glad you went shopping for sentiments ONLY! hahaha huggers, de

These are both just awesome and I love that little background stamp idea ... fantastic my friend! Of course I need not mention the PERFECT coloring since ALL your creations are colored to perfection! I want to color like you when I grow up! LOL Thanks for the fun and congrats on the new appliances.
I do NOT have a maid ... but my daughter does have a girl come in every couple of weeks and yes ... she cleans before the 'maid' comes. LOL (why do we do that?? lol) Big hugs and happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween Leslie! We had a total of 17 kids, that's a lot for us, and I quite surprised we had that many because it had rained for the last 2 days, but seem to stop around 5:30pm just in time for the kiddo's to get out, but the winds have really picked up to 80km/ 50 mph, and those are suppose to last until tomorrow night. Anyway as for your cards, these are fabulous cards! Fabulous colouring and design. The sanded look on the mummy card looks really awesome. Oh and thanks for putting that song in my head! LOL. As for a maid, yes I have one and that would be me. Enjoy your new appliances - how exciting! Have a great weekend Leslie, and as always love seeing your artwork!

Oh sure, just plant that earworm and run...lol. Two super cute creepy cards perfect for that background music of the monster mash running through our heads. Nicely colored and designed. Good luck with the new appliances.

I don't remember the Monster Mash song so I have escaped having it in my head. Instead I can focus on the fun details of these cards. There you go using those Bitty Backgrounds again - wish I still had mine, you keep them handy and put them to such good use! Fav detail is the distressed die cut oval with the creeper. Perfect!

I'm late, but I'm always up for hearing the Monster Mash, lol! We had the best music didn't we? We knew every word! I love these last of your Halloween designs and excellent coloring, my friend! Good luck with the new appliances! I have a housekeeper every two weeks and, yes, I do straighten everything and remove any clutter. Don't want to give them any excuses for not cleaning any area!! Hugs, Darnell

Ok, now you did it!!! I'm going to have this song stuck in my head for days!!
What a fabulous pair of Halloween cards Leslie, both are colored to perfection, each have unique and awesome details.
The one with all of this Monsters dancing is beyond hilarious, OMG!! I wish I was dancing with them, LOL!!
The second one with this gift baring Mummy is also fabulous, love the distressed frame, what an awesome detail. You just reminded me that I have some of this core paper somewhere in my craft room, I think I need to use.
Awesome cards, my friend.
Hugs.
