Eat. Sleep. Read.

Hello there and happy Monday!  Don't be shocked... today's post has nothing to do with Halloween or Thanksgiving or Christmas.  It's just a card with a matching bookmark, and it's good for any day in any season because anytime is a good time to pick up a book and read.

I combined two digital sets from Graciellie Design -- Book Lovers and Nourish & Flourish.  It was really the Book Lovers set that drew me in because, in addition to the stack of books and the tea cup, it has 7 great sentiments for a book lover.  The vase of flowers is part of the Nourish & Flourish set.

I colored with Copics and die cut with an old Spellbinders set.  Designer papers are Mintay's Dear Diary collection.

My friend and I spent Friday at the book store --  hours of talking and laughing and browsing books over lunch with dessert and coffee, and we each went home with a tote bag full of stories.  I slipped between the pages of a book that evening and didn't come out till bedtime.  It is a lovely place to be!

Have a beautiful day!

Absolutely gorgeous!! Leslie, this is amazing. I love the card and matching book mark, an excellent idea. You coloured this so pretty, love the softness of the colours, and the Mintay papers are perfect. I've said this many times but you certainly do have a great eye for details. Love everything about this! I just went and checked out the link and I see a few of her digi's I think I need. I especially need the Book Lovers as my DIL loves to read and always has a book on the go! I love to read as well, and bedtime is usually when I pull out my book.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful card today Leslie!

WOWOWOWOWOWOW! Prettiest cards I have ever seen! I love everything about the card and bookmark, Leslie - I don't know where to begin, either your amazing coloring, or the delightful sentiment (oh so true!) I love them! Reading is a passion - isn't it a marvelous way of expanding one's sense of the world, and how others feel? Not to mention amazing, incredible scientific "stuff". I love it all! hugs, de

Gorgeous! I love that stamp set. Your creations always leave me in awe. I love books too, but mine are usually e-books. I don't go anywhere without my Kindle.

What a beautiful card and bookmark!! I love the softness of colors and of course your coloring! I love to read and tried to instill that love into my Granddaughters. I make bookmarks for Jennifer now and she loves using them in her reading books.

This is such a stunning set...love the softness of your color choice that melds so well with the Mintay papers,Leslie!! You have such a beautiful expression and I can always hear a story behind your cards. So glad you have a nearby friend to enjoy and that sounds like a perfect day to me. Beautiful set and beautiful post!! Sounds like you had a lovely birthday, mine was a pretty much normal day, but my daughters was Oct 2nd, so we went to lunch together and shopping at Home Goods (our downfall)..funny thing was she brought me a gift and I had one for her but forgot to bring it (old age forgetfulness) so she wouldn't let me have mine until we could exchange them together...so funny..but now we can do another lunch next week....anyhow I think Graciellie had some of most beautiful digitals and y9u did her proud with this card and bookmark!!
