Ghostly Greetings

Hello and welcome to Halloween week!  I have new-to-me Halloween stamps this year and I aim to use them.  The thing is, I went looking for a Halloween sentiment set -- no plans to buy anything else -- and I ended up with the sentiment set, plus 3 more sets with images, plus a single wood block stamp.  I know!  Then I won a cute little House Mouse stamp, and so here I am -- Halloween Week.

My arm is still hurting when I overuse it, but I'm managing.  Oddly, it's the smaller movements such as mousing and coloring that hurt it the most, so everything is being accomplished in shorter intervals.  These cards are easy coloring and quick designs, finished one day at a time.  The stamp set is new this year from Art Impressions, called Fright Night.  I adore these fun-loving, friendly ghosts!

Party in the woods!  These guys are three sheets to the wind, as the sentiment says.  Hilarious!  I brushed the background with Distress Oxide inks, then framed with Memory Box Grand Forest Archway.  Do you see the spider webs in the tree branches?

This next one says "spooky", but it's really not.  That face!  Ghosts just wanna have fun.  Okay, maybe the spiders and webs are a little creepy.

I think you can see where Wink of Stella was added -- spiders, banner, "spooky".  I also added Stickles Stardust to all the purple dots... just to make it even friendlier.  Spiders are Poppystamps Spider Banner, paper is something older by Doodlebug.  I cut the image panel with Lil' Inker Silly Stitched Die Set.

You know I had fun with these, don't you?  There's more coming tomorrow.  I'm hoping for something every day through Halloween, but we'll see how my arm and time hold up.  Thanks for stopping by and checking up on me!  I hope we'll all have fun this week.

These are all adorable but I think my favorite is the Three Sheets To The Wind! How cute is that? I love those wine drinking gouls!

Geez...I love ~love those silly ghosts, I can see why you couldn't resist them, they are fabulous and made me laugh out loud with the sentiment! There are so many great things out there to tempt us to purchase aren't there? So glad to see you use them and not have to wait until next Halloween like I normally do...I sure hope your hand pain goes away, I have it too and some days can barely 'type' with my left hand, it was operated on but it failed, so I had two choices, live with it or have a second operation going in thru my neck, I am living with it. I received the cutest ever Halloween card in the mail...I LOVE it!!

Leslie, your little partying ghosties are the sweetest ever. They DO seem like the kind of pranksters I might want to avoid, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt! Sorry to hear about your shoulder - isn't it amazing how much our shoulders control other parts of our bodies? Hands, arms, backs, breathing around the ribs, neck, etc. I'm always incredulous at how needful every body part is! I like the spidie webs in the trees, and your spider garland as well. What a great idea! You hit the jackpot! Makes me want to go check out things at one of the big box stores in our area, but I'm sure they are sold out. Sending healing thoughts your way! hugs, de

Oh how fun are these guys, fun loving friendly ghosts! I love both cards. The grand forest archway frames the trio in nicely, as if they were sitting out in the forest. I really like the spider webs up in the trees, very cool looking! Love the sparkly spiders on your second card, although in real life I do not like spiders!, great layout for this one as well. I was surprised to see your post today as I know how painful your arm is, but glad you were able to get these completed in stages. Looking forward to tomorrow's card, I love when you create. Take care of that arm Leslie!

These cards are so cute!! They remind me of the comic books I used to read as a kid with Casper the Friendly Ghost and his relatives!! I love the DSP you used and of course you have to have spiders for Halloween! They all look like they are having a grand time! Feel better!

Hi Leslie... Firstly I just want to say thank you for your kind words on the loss of my friend... Both friends I lost this year were older than me and you are right... It's something we have to expect but still hard to accept.
Your cards are amazing!! The best ghost cards I've ever seen and so beautifully done. Fabulous colouring and the designs are terrific!

The ghosts are making me smile on these cards! You are certainly on a roll and today's cards are fabulous! I loved hearing about how you acquired these new stamps. I know just how it is! I'm glad to be enjoying them here on you blog.
Best news is that you're managing and improving in spite of the arm tenderness. Good news!
