I made one of the funny/weird backgrounds I've been playing with off and on recently.
- After I stamped the images and sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black I traced a circle in light pencil around it.
- Colored the background outside the circle rather loosely with Copics BV01, BV02, BV04; the darker color toward the bottom.
- The next step was to use a skinny eyedropper to randomly drop Colorless Blender fluid onto the background, making some effort to avoid letting the colors run into the circle.
- Edged inside the traced circle with the BV Copics -- BV01, BV000, BV0000
The moon looks a little bit like a big bubble, but I like it.
I colored the image, added the Memory Box Estate Fence and finished up the card with the same Doodlebug Halloween papers I've been using for years.
The cards I make are the only Halloween happenings at our house. We may get a couple of trick-or-treaters (friends), but most kids don't come down our street. The whole length of it runs along the edge of the dark and scary woods and there are a couple of empty houses, one of which is essentially abandoned. I know, it's lovely. No street lights on our block, either. I had no idea kids were still trick-or-treating in the general area, but last year when we went for after dinner sniffy walk with Wally and LuLu we were surprised to see all kinds of Halloween activity around the corner. All these years... sheesh!
I'll be back tomorrow with the last of the Halloween cards. Have a good day!

Super cute card! I love the image and that little cat just made me smile. The sentiment is great too so it all rolled together into one adorable creation!
Absolutely wonderful! The moon looks fabulous! We will no doubt get a few kiddies calling... Last year there were not as many as usual for some reason which means I'm left with sweets to eat Lol!
O-M-G! This is so stinkin' cute! LOVE the image/sentiment and of course your coloring is perfect! What a fabulous background you've created for these cute critters ... thanks for the deets!!
As you may have read, our T or T night was last Saturday (our city never does it on a school night ... always the Saturday before) and since we live in a 'development' we had 150ish kids. Was a horrible night of wind & rain but they still dressed up and came out! I've never seen so many umbrellas on our street at one time which of course was another issue to deal with for these poor kiddos but everyone was being careful & considerate ... didn't want anyone to 'put an eye out'. Thanks for the Halloween card fun ... I didn't make a one! But sure enjoyed seeing yours!
another cutie. Have a great day
Great card. Love the image. That kitty does not look like a witch's cat, holding on for dear life. Your background is awesome and perfectly executed. Maybe you should take some candy along on your Wally walk to give to the trick or treaters you meet on the way. :)
Oh this is such fun. I bet that broom is racing at just below light speed.
That is so fun and well designed and I love the sentiment which accompanies it as well.
Ohhhhh!! this is just so stinking cute and hilarious!!
Love this set, I've been eyeing it for a while and I almost ordered it some time ago but I went with a couple of sets from Marcy instead.
Love the fabulous design and the amazing background, plus that iron fence is the most perfect finishing touch.
I don't know what face I like the most, these critters are on the ride of their life, LOL!!

I can see why you wanted to get this set, such fun images to color, I love this, they are so fun and that spider hanging on for dear life too is a hoot. Your background is very cool too, I don't know that I have ever tried anything like that, sure gives a neat effect. That fence is just perfect for a halloween card!
Leslie this is such a fun image, your bubble moon looks great and OMG what did you do with that background :)
This has got to be the cutest, cutest Halloween stamp ever!! It made laugh as it is so dang CUTE,,,wait, did I already say that...a FABULOUS card!! We live on a country road, with only 3 other houses on it, so no TorT for us in 30 years, and tonight it is to rain with a snow mix for the poor kiddos, last year it was 60 out...crazy weather across our country!!
So cute and wonderfully done! We don't get trick-or-treaters, either. No kids around!
Brilliant, fun card Leslie - I love it, Jo x
