Candy Witch

It's Day Two of Halloween Week and so far, so good.  I have an adorable House Mouse today.  This is Mudpie and he's our Candy Witch who appears to be stealing candy.  Is he wicked?  I think not.  He probably trick-or-treated all that candy corn.

This House Mouse is the stamp I won on Sue's blog in a House Mouse and Friends challenge.  Totally unexpected because I simply left a comment and the next thing you know she contacted me.  It was my lucky day!

The sentiment is from the Stampendous Faboolous sentiment set which was the catalyst to all the new Halloween stamps I ended up with this year.  All I wanted was a sentiment set, sigh... but, I've sure been having fun!

I added Wink of Stella to Mudpie's purple witch gown, which actually looks more like a wizard costume to me.  The retired Memory Box Swirly Tree was glued black over white, but I left the swirly ends of the branches free because they're too difficult to glue together and it turns out I like them like this.

Doodlebug paper on a sanded CTMH Autumn Terracotta card base.  Do they still make CTMH cardstock like this?  I love that it's lightweight and can be sanded to show the white core, but it's been ages since I bought CTMH.  Oh, I almost forgot... the plaid frame is Memory Box Wrapped Stitched Frames.

That's all for today.  I hope to be back tomorrow and Thursday.  Have a happy day!

So cute. Love all the different textures and papers you used. And I LOVE that swirly tree die. So sad to know that it is retired. I was looking for something like that this year - a ghosty tree. Do you have trick or treaters where you live? I'm not expecting any this year.

Your mouse witch does look more like a wizard:-) I think he just picked up all the pieces off the floor that the little children dropped:-) Love your coloring and embellishments and the fun you had designing your card, Leslie. Can't wait to see more...Hugs..Nancy

Mudpie deserves to be a wizard. Sorry it causes you discomfort, but your artwork brings happiness to those of who get to see it. Hope that thought helps. I agree that the tree came out great. Love the card.

Hi, Leslie! So glad you gave this little trick-or-treater the benefit of the doubt, and that he earned his candy, and didn’t steal it! Using those papers and that fab black swirly tree is a great design idea for creating even more depth. You always bring out the fun in your cards, L, and I especially appreciate your wonderful combination of papers and embellishments in your cards. Huggerzzzz

I love the House Mouse stamps and this one is no exception! Your card is so cute - I can't stand it!! AS you know I love Halloween and this card is perfect. I like the candy corn DSP and how it matches the bag of corn that he earned trick or treating??? What makes the card is his little tongue sticking out with delight!

Congrats on the win of this cute stamp, I am with you it does look like a wizard to me. Such fun papers that you used, to go with his bag of goodies :) Fund sentiment to go with him dragging a bag of the candy away and like how you highlighted the wicked word!
