Boo Cat

Hey, friends!  It's almost trick or treat time, not that we get many trick-or-treaters.  However,  **I** was treated this week because it was my birthday on Tuesday.  Today I'm out with a friend, having lunch and browsing the book store.  Seriously one of my favorite activities.  I played in my room, too.  Coloring and crafting cards -- another favorite activity.  There are simply too many things I love to do... not enough hours in the day.

Today it's another Halloween card -- Power Poppy's Boo Cat and Pumpkins digital set.  I arranged the cat, Jack-o-Lantern, and sentiment in the composition of my choice.

(Other supplies:  Cheery Lynn Spider Net die, Carabelle Studio Tricot stencil)

Using Distress Oxide Shabby Shutters I stenciled a leafy background over the whole panel, leaving a glow around the image, then colored with Copics.  I just happened to have a shimmery black cardstock base already cut and embossed.  The embossing is just a peek around the edges on the front, but you get the full effect when you open the card (not photographed).  The spider web was plain gray cardstock; Wink of Stella makes it shimmery.

Just a note to finish up:  I'm currently suffering from medial epicondylitis.  Does it sound scary?  Well, let me tell you, the scariest thing about it is that I think it may be caused by too much coloring and computer.  Oh, noooooooooooooooo!!!

I started feeling it before we went on vacation in August and it's just getting worse.  I've been trying to figure out why it won't let up, and that's the only thing I can come up with.  Yes, I've been to the doctor.  Golfer's elbow without the golfing, sheesh.  It needs rest... but, I have all these not-yet-used stamps...  Maybe just a little coloring?

We'll see what transpires.  In the meantime, I'll be back Monday with something I made earlier this week.  See you soon.  Have a happy day!

Leslie, your little card is adorable! This would have been one I would make when my Grandson was young. These days I just don't participate! I love the background and the cute little cat behind the pumpkin! Just an adorable image and the classic sentiment just tops it all off!

I just love your sweet little card. All the elements just bring it all together in a perfect way. So sorry to hear about your pain that you're experiencing. I hope you can give it some rest. Do some mild stretching and ice it down. Hope that helps.

Wow, this is AMAZING! I don't make too many or hardly any Halloween cards, but love when I see others do. Every year you always inspire to me make some, but I never seem to do. I LOVE this card. Everything is so thought out and placed perfectly. Love the glow around the card from your stenciling, the glittery cob web and of course your black cat and pumpkin. Oh no Leslie, that sounds so painful. I'm sure rest will do it good, you need to take it easy. Maybe just a little bit of colouring? Why does it always seem when something happens it's always your dominant arm/hand. Thinking of you, take care Leslie.

Gorgeous coloring ...as always, Leslie.

We are home!!! Nine hour drive yesterday and today. Only snowed once mixed with rain at Diamond Lake. So good to be home. We saw some Gorgeous Fall color during our drive down the North Umpqua River and still Fall color here at home:-)

We left at 8 this a.m. and got home at 5p.m. We are both tired and happy to be home:-) Will unpack trailer, etc tomorrow!

Hugs..Nancy

Pumpkins, black cats, and webs are what Halloween is all about! What a neat card! So cute and ready to go! Hope you had a great birthday and enjoyed your shopping. Hope you are feeling better. I feel your pain. That's why I ended up getting my Vaga Bond 2. Arm and elbow can't keep up with the crafting.

Such an adorably cute card and beautifully executed!
SO sorry to hear of this malady for you Leslie. I actually looked it up and found it could be caused by too much chopping wood with an ax, or use of a hand saw or OTHER tools. We all know we have an arsenal of color mediums in our tool chest! in all seriousness, I will be praying for healing and relief for you. Hang in there and let us know how it's going.

OMG I'm so sorry I missed your birthday! My head is all over the place right now having lost my best friend last week. Belated birthday wishes to you and a stunning halloween card Leslie. As always so perfectly crafted and so full of impact.

Sorry about your golfers elbow..I had that once from...too much knitting. Ice and heat help and wearing a band below your elbow, esp when you are coloring or on computer. And doing the activities that hurt for only a few minutes then do something else. You have probably figured out all the dos and don'ts.

Take care and I am Loving all your cute Halloween cards. TFS my friend. Hugs..Nancy
