Under the Weather

You probably know I'm a Bugaboo fan.  So much so that I amassed quite a collection while I was still working and too tired to color, but not too tired to shop.  Know how that goes?  For the last few years I've been trying to get them all colored up before I buy more.  Well, I took stock and found I had a mere seven left to color.  I can do that!  It's time Umbrella Mouse came out of the box.

Wait... I said seven?  Well... since I subscribe to their newsletter I have the benefit of the occasional free digi of my choice.  I've been trying not to look, but I weakened.  I chose a cute puppy, but then I also saw a pretty wreath on sale I just had to have.  Today, while I was looking up the link for Umbrella Mouse I saw another beautiful flower stamp, plus a comical kitty.  How can I say "no" to $1.50?  So that's four.  Let's see... I'm back up to ten not-yet-colored Bugaboos.  I can still do that!

Umbrella Mouse was colored with Prismacolor pencils blended with Gamsol odorless mineral spirits.  The sentiment is from a Power Poppy set -- Daffodils.  I sponged on some Distress Oxide inks, did a few water splatters, and framed with Poppystamps Feather Tree Frame.  Added a purchased flower (gift from a friend).  Oh, and if there has to be raindrops they might as well be sparkly, so I added Stickles to them.

I'll see you again on Wednesday with the Double D challenge.  In the meantime, maybe I'll color some more Bugaboo.  Take care!

Stamps:  Bugaboo Umbrella Mouse digi, Power Poppy Daffodils sentiment  Paper:  Neenah Classic Crest Super Smooth Solar White, lime green CS  Ink:  Printer, Memento Tuxedo Black, Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers and Pumice Stone  Coloring:  Prismacolor Pencils and Gamsol  Accessories:  Crystal and Black Diamond Stickles glitter glue, purchased flower  Dies:  Poppystamps Feather Tree Frame

Yep. Raindrops should be sparkly, I totally agree! How cute is this? Guaranteed to help someone feel better. That mouse is adorable, and I love his sweet little umbrella. Perfectly colored, and wonderfully framed to give that little guy great proportion. Love this little card! And only 10 to go? That's not so many...I maybe should do a count...nah...I don't really want to know the answer, lol!! Bev

Now you're going to laugh, but I swear to God this is the truth. Well, first, before I forget, I LOVE your sweet mouse and his polka-dotty umbrella and schparkly raindrops! You color with pencils like others color with paint ~ awemazing! So, you know I always order something when I visit and this time you reminded me that I've had that leaf frame in my wish list folder since the middle of last year. Well, that's no longer the case and $207.13 later, it will be on it's way to me soon. Sigh! You gotta laugh!! Hugs, Darnell

What a super cute card and beautiful coloring and photo! (my first love was Becket Expressions Super Smooth, great for Copics too, but it was discontinued. boo.)

I can see why you are a fan of Bugaboo. This is such a cute image and I love the way you did the card with that wonderful die design too. I am a fan of Poppystamps as well but only have a few of their dies.

I am not familiar with Bugaboo, but I see why you like them! And I would never consider using a die cut that way, but it works so well. Love that bright green.

I"m laughing like Darnell is, sort of the same thing. You reminded me that after visiting your blog and seeing your absolutely wonderful and always fun creations I am often enabled to buy something you used. I will have to go and see how many Bugaboo digs I have to color!
I'm sure I don't have this one, I love the card!
Thanks for telling me what kind of pencils you used to color.

Happy First Day of Spring Leslie!! It's raining up here in the Midwest but I guess, I won't complain, I rather have rain than snow.
And it seems like this sweet, adorable little mousey thinks the same way because she's taking a stroll in the rain.
Love the die you framed it with, such bright and happy colors, those raindrops look beautiful with the stickles.
This card will cheer anyone up as soon as it comes out of the envelope.
Thank you for sharing.
XO
