Monday Fun Day: Birds and Blooms and Thinking of You

Welcome to Monday!  The sun came out and suddenly all activity turned to spring things such as gardening and preparing our trailer for a season of camping and travel.  I'm surprised I stamped at all, but I can't seem to stay away from it entirely.  I recently finished up a batch of two dozen cards for a friend, so now I'm back to playing with my new or not-yet-used goodies.

Today I'm using a new-to-me stamp set, recently received as a gift, and I adore it.  Perfect for fair weather stamping when I don't have much time.  The stamp set is Inkadinkado "Pattern Play Inchie".  Nine different inchie stamps to mix and match, three of which I used here.  That little tag stamp is going to come in handy!

Also new to me is the Memory Box Pinpoint Double Frame die and the gingham paper.  I know... sales... what're you gonna do?  I have to stop looking.  I bought a whole 12 x 12 pad of the gingham paper at Wal-Mart.  What was I even doing in the craft section?  I went there for dog towels, sheesh.  Well, since I now have so much gingham paper I made the whole card with it.  I lined the inside with white to make it more sturdy.  Worked like a charm and turned out pretty cute!

I added a little more designer paper with the borders and flags, plus a linen thread bow.  It all worked out to make a cheerful get well card.

Thanks for sharing time with me today.  I hope you're enjoying some pretty spring weather.  It sure is uplifting!

Well geez, you had me with the word 'gingham'..a favorite of mine for sure! A pretty pretty card and how clever to use the designer paper for the card base, you have me storing that idea away for future use!! We are to have 70 degrees weather here today though Mr. Rain is moving in about the time it turns 70, I hope to get outside around noontime and to start cutting down the dead. The daffys are starting to bloom (I have about 34 different kinds) though the frost did a few in..sigh!! Have a great day, I know I sure am going to enjoy it!

This is just adorable! The stamps are darling and I love gingham! Who knew Walmart carried gingham paper! I get my groceries there but have never walked through the craft section before but I certainly will now! The Walmart store is just 5 minutes from my house and their prices are so much cheaper than the grocery store they are next to! Plus the other store doesn't carry anything but their store brand cat food so I don't shop there. You can never have too much gingham paper! Thanks for the heads up and for posting such a cheerful card to start my day!

What a nice layout. These inchie stamps are great. I don't have any and I love the tag one. While Joe is looking at the auto section in Walmart, I steal away to the craft section as well. I love the gingham paper. What a bright cheerful card to start the week. We were outside all weekend having fun as well. Have a great week!

EEK!!! Love the gingham paper and love your card! I would of never thought those images were Inkadinkado inchies - I have a few sets myself and haven't used them in years! I love how you placed them inside the MB double frame die, they fit perfectly, and the tag is so cute as well! Great layout and love the colours. Another wonderful card Leslie, your cards are always so unique. Yes, I'm enjoying the spring weather - finally! It's so nice to see the sun and a bit warmer temperatures.

So, so cute, Leslie! Love the gingham - how clever to use it for the whole card. Love the die cut, too. Have fun with camping! I'm jealous. We had a gorgeous day today - 69 degrees or so! Hard to believe just a week ago we had 22 inches of snow!

WOW, Leslie, this is adorable! I can just see myself wandering into the craft section at Walmart - and falling in love with that gingham paper! SO glad you put it into your cart so we will get to see how you use it! The inchies look perfect tucked in to the double stitched frame. Pretty cute all around and I love the cheerfulness of this card, and the gender neutral aspect too. Way to go!
