A Happy Hello

Happy St. Patrick's Day!  Gee, maybe I should have made something green for today, but there's a little bit of green on my card, and more peeking from the inside.  See it there?

Today I've used something brand new as well as something not new, but never been used.  The stamp set is Flower Silhouettes (new), and the twirly clouds have been waiting their turn for quite a while.  I even had a little sun for the picture.  Oh, happy day!

I wondered why I was drawn to this particular stamp set out of all the new stamp sets I see every day.  It wasn't until I sat down to work with it that I realized it's a Bugaboo stamp.  There's just something about Bugaboo...

This set is very easy and quick for cute cards, which probably accounts for why I used it without delay.  In fact, I made two cards lickety split.  No complex coloring or techniques.  Just plain fun.  The little bit of coloring was done with Copic markers, and I used Nuvo drops in the flower centers.

I hope you all have a happy weekend!

Stamps:  Flower Silhouettes  Paper:  X-Press It Blending Card, Neenah Classic White, SU! Real Red  Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Real Red, Copics for coloring  Accessories:  Apple Green Nuvo Crystal Drops, Fiskars scallop scissors, Poppystamps Twirly Clouds

This is indeed a happy card! It just makes me smile this cold morning in East Tennessee; and that sweet little butterfly just makes my heart sing!

I love the little bits of green on your delightful card, Leslie! And I love how delicate and dainty you have made the stamp set! BEAUTIFULLY done with that touch of red peeking out from behind your panel with the scallop bottom, and the pretty, lightly stamped image on the inside! don't you love those wispy little clouds with the touch of blue? Thanks for the tip about how to use those, because they are in my stash as well. Happy St. Patrick's Day my friend! Thanks for sharing your beautiful card! hugs, de

Happy St. Patrick's Day! LOVE this card! That stamp speaks to me too! We seem to gravitate towards the same stamps & dies. Boy, I have looked at that die for the clouds many times & told myself I didn't need more clouds....well, now it is on my wish list! They were the perfect finishing touch to this cutie!

What a beautiful card. I've been trying to figure out what the flowers remind me of. Pennsylvania Dutch! I saw a lot of them that looked like this on road trips when I lived up there. Such fun happy colors and those clouds are adorable!

Oh it's fabulous! It still amazes me how you colour all those tiny spaces without going over the lines... I would need a huge magnifying glass... And then I'd still make a mess ... Hats off to you my friend!

Beautiful, such fun flower stamps, it is in that style that the coloring books are doing, love your colors and the drops work great for the centers. I must be doing them wrong because I am not getting those nice rounded drops on mine :( Love your dot accenting too, I almost did that on a card I made the other day but instead added nuvo drops. More great inspiration!!

Okay as you can see I fell behind in commenting this past week. Oh, what a fabulous spring card. You know me anything 'flowery' I love. This is a funky stamp, but I love it, and those swirly clouds, how sweet are those! Love the little dots around your flowers and your Nuvo drops for the centers.I need to get some more of those Nuvo drops, I only have 2 colours. A lovely design Leslie!
