Graceful Still Life

Well, hello again, and welcome to Monday!  I'm happy to be moving right along with more never-been-used stuff.  Today it's this oh-so-beautiful Graceful Still Life digi stamp from Power Poppy.  Is that not the sweetest, most feminine image?

I also used a corner die that I picked up at Dies R Us for at least 70% off.  I'm not certain, but I think they're closing out these Die-namites dies as the prices are still hugely slashed.  You can almost always find something you like for 70% off.  It makes a simple, unimposing frame for the colored image.

Pictured below are the Copics I used.  I tried to limit the color palette, just switching around many of the same colors in different areas.

To create a soft, romantic look to the print I lightened somewhat and then put a softening filter on it.

This digi set includes the dogwood branch all by itself, so I went ahead and colored that one, too.  The occasional sunny day we've had has really gotten me in the mood for fresh, light spring colors.

Have a beautiful day!

  3. STUNNING! Both cards are beautiful! Such soft and soothing colours - a touch of spring! What a great purchase on that die, I love how you displayed it. Again using such a soft colour it blends so well with your image and just finishes it off perfectly. Your colouring always 'wows' me, love the green hat, and your dogwood branch - coloured again so perfectly. The bit of turquoise just makes the flowers pop. I'm off today, so need to work on some Easter card orders. Have a wonderful day Leslie, and again that's for inspiring me.

Your artwork is always so incredible, Leslie - beautifully shaded. This time I like the intensity against the light pastels. The dogwoods are graceful and sweet! Both cards are beauties! Hoping you hare enjoying some special spring time weather. hugs, de

To be cold here tonight and 70 on Friday...go figure...my crocus popped their little heads out today only to freeze tonight, maybe that is why they are called crocus as they 'croak' so early..lol!!

  21. Your cards make me feel like Spring is coming. Such soft, beautiful colors. Your flower reminds me of my Nanny's garden which she loved and she was so pround of her dogwood. Unfortunately, my flowers are still covered with snow. Today it is windy and cold but warm weather is coming soon - I hope!
