Hello and welcome to a new month and another Double D Challenge! We're playing with textures for this challenge. I do love adding texture to my cards. Have a look at our inspiration board:
I was inspired by the sweater knit on the board, and since I was using the sweater knit I decided to go with a whole fall theme, and that lead to a Thanksgiving card. The pumpkins here represent my first attempt at the blackout technique for embossing folders. Not the easiest folder for this technique, considering all the detail and very little space for the blackened background, but it turned out okay as long as you don't inspect it too closely.
Penny Black sentiments die and stamps. Spellbinders embossing folders.
I blended the same inks on the card base as I used on the pumpkins. The die cut pumpkin down in the corner by the sentiment is a years old Spellbinders die.
The Double D team has a nice variety to share with you in their samples. I hope you can play along!
