Hello and welcome back!
You know I've been enjoying the oldies lately, but today I decided to switch my focus to some not yet used supplies. I felt this Simon Says Stamp Soaring Layered Bird and Cozy Birdhouse paired up nicely.
It's a bit busy, perhaps, with the designer paper and everything on an A2 card, but I was determined to fill this garden with warmth and flowers. I die cut some flowers from the SSS Country Basket Bouquet to grow in front of the birdhouse post and give it the impression of being in the garden rather than simply in front of it. The post, by the way, is not part of the birdhouse set. To finish, I managed to tuck in a little "hello".
Coloring is all ink blending with brushes. Love the woodgrain on the birdhouse. I'll be having more fun with that later!
I'll be sharing in the following challenges:
NBUS Challenge #87 -- My never before used schtuffs are the SSS Soaring Layered Bird and Cozy Birdhouse.
Aside from crafting, I've been planting flowers and enjoying the garden. I pause to throw the ball for Ridley and visit with the passersby. Sophie has taken on the job of Neighborhood Greeter and is not to be resisted. Everyone knows her and Ridley.
I hope you're having a lovely day wherever you are. Thank you so much for dropping by!

Beautiful card and everything paired up nicely. That bird is another gorgeous element on one of your cards. Have a great and creative day
Fabulous Summery card, love the beautiful paper and die-cuts and yes they were definitely meant to go together. Our garden is sadly neglected this year and even had Granddaughter and her boyfriend cutting the grasses and privet hedge for us.

Gorgeous. Love all the beautiful flowers and your coloring is absolutely awesome as always. My poor gardens are neglected so far this year. It has been too hot already to get out. I need to go to the nursery and have my lawn guy do some planting.
What an awesome home for your pretty bluebird! Such a lovely garden.
This is a delightful garden birdhouse and I look forward to seeing more of the birdhouse! Wonderful details! Your soaring bird is beautiful! You have such a talent for using pattern paper, Leslie! I am in awe!
Such a zippity-doo-dah-darling card, Leslie! Loaded with all things wonderful in the garden and my favorite of all blue birds!

Your card is just gorgeous, beautiful inking on that bird, love it and the wood detail on the bird house is so cool, got to love those shutters on it :) I love the depth you got with the flowery paper and then adding your die cut flowers to thr front too! Just got back in tending to our garden and it is so fun to watch everything grow from day to day!
This little bluebird is in garden heaven, Leslie! You did a beautiful job of capturing the peace and warmth! I want to relax there and enjoy watching Sophie and Ridley interact with the neighborhood! Thank you for inspiring everyone to use their NBUS! Hugs, Darnell
I love this card. I am hopeless at putting things together in a collage-y way and making it look as if it was meant to be. YOu have that talent in spades. Pun intended. Such a lovely garden with the birdhouse and soaring bird.
OMG this is OUTSTANDING! I just love how you've brought all these elements to life with the layering and the colors are so bright & happy! I simply LOVE this card my friend! Well done (applause!). Thanks so much for joining in the fun at our Love Those Pretty Papers challenge! Good Luck and we hope you’ll come back often.
