Double D Challenge: Santa and/or Snowman

Hello!  Are you ready for Christmas and another Double D Challenge?  I'm fairly well settled in, but it was touch and go for a while there.  Every year I declare it will be different and it most definitely is different, but not necessarily in the way I'd hoped.  You know how it goes.

I'm still loving the fun of it, though, such as the smiles I get when looking at the mood board below.  Darlene has challenged us to show "Santas and/or Snowmen".  That's fun!

The team votes on creative favorites, and there's a pretty little stencil for a random winner:

Snowmen don't have to be for Christmas, but I can't help but think of them that way.  It's a rare year that we get any snow at all here so my snowmen will have to live happily on my cards.  This is a Bugaboo digi stamp that's been printed and lounging in my digi box for I-don't-know-how-long.  I think this wintry crew made up into a pretty cute Christmas card!

I lightened before printing and then colored with Copics.  Added Diamond Stickles for sparkle.  Keeping it simple and fun.  Gee, I didn't even embellish.  Some die cut snowflakes would have been cute, tsk.  Nevertheless, I'm happy with it.  Sometimes I forget how much I love coloring.  There will be more in the future.

I'll finish up here and give you a chance to check out all the cute snowman and Santa samples at Double D.  I hope you'll have time to play along!

Take care and enjoy the rest of your holiday!

They look happy and frosty all at once! Super cute! We got our very 1st snow the other day, 4+ inches, which is a lot for us--being so close to the ocean snow is a rarity! I prefer it on pretty cards, like this beauty of yours! Merry Merry!

No snow, lucky you, we've had over 2 feet since Thanksgiving and ice too, but they are saying no white Christmas for us this year, crazy weather!! Have a very Merry Christmas!!

We don't always have a white Christmas and actually they are predicting rain & 60 degrees here in Akron on Christmas Day (What the heck??) but we've had snow for the past week and it certainly does put you in the Christmas spirit! I just can't believe it's only a week away! Where has the year gone???
Merry Christmas to you & yours ... I hope you have a wonderful time and make lifelong memories! HUGS

This is so cute the way it is and really didn't need any embellishment with the little snowflakes from the stamp.

Leslie you make the most wonderful cards any time of year. The Snowman are just one of them and I love how you snuck in the Penguin. They are all just adorable and every time I see one of your cards I have to look up the stamp because I think I need it in my collection. It is a busy time of year for everyone and especially for me this year as I am flying back to Wisconsin originally just for Christmas, but now a few days early as I will be attending my brother's memorial service as he passed away in November. He was in a nursing home for two years and his passing was comfortable, with family by his side. Enough of that, as our family is coming in this afternoon. I am ready! Merry Christmas to you Leslie and hubby. I look forward to seeing you in 2026 through your cards.

This is darling, Leslie! There’s only one thing better than a Jodie Bugaboo image. That would be a LESLIE-COLORED Bugaboo image! So, so cute and sweet. Like yours, our snowmen live in artwork alone in these regions. Thanks for the fun inspiration to Darlene’s marvelous mood board! xx

This is so, so cute, Leslie!! The snowmen and the "wanna be" penguin snowman are adorable. The coloring is amazing as always and the dotted background is perfect. Love that die cut sentiment too. Such a fun and delightful scene. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you!

Oh my goodness, I just ADORE this card. The image is really cute, but you have taken it to the next level with your beautiful coloring. And then that die cut greeting just puts it over the top. It's simply FABULOUS!!! Merry Christmas, my friend.
