Penny Black Christmas

Hello and welcome, friends!  Five more Christmas cards are in the box now that I've finished a batch with a set from my Penny Black collection.  Wintertime Cheer goes back to 2016, but it's new to me this year.  I colored and cut out all the images -- Tombow markers & blender on watercolor paper -- and then assembled into cards.

To begin, I'm playing along with Jo and Elf Loll at the Christmas Kickstart Challenge where this month's theme is "Snow Alert".  My furry friend is determined to deliver his presents so he loaded up his trailer and is trundling through the white stuff with more flakes falling as he goes.

Taylored Expression Jingle all the Way, Memory Box Bauble Snowflake,
Impression Obsession Small Snowflake Set, white acrylic paint,
Simple Stories Fresh Snow designer paper

There is Diamond Stickles for sparkle, glaze on the jingle bells, a background from my stash behind the sentiment panel.

The next card is the simplest and my favorite of the bunch.  You'd think I'd learn.  I'm trying.

Penny Black Joy Edger and Graceful Holly
stash sentiment

From dogs to cat and mouse... I used some ages old designer paper on the sentiment and scattered die cut poinsettias and snowflakes below.  Pine branches lightly texture the white space overhead.

Penny Black Jolly Edger, Memory Box Seraphine Laurel (poinsettias)
Impression Obsession Small Snowflake Set
Tim Holtz Sizzix Pine Branches embossing folder

Finally, two cards, one photo.

Penny Black Joy & Warmth sentiments, Penny Black Wood Floor
Impression Obsession Birch Tree Rectangle and Small Snowflake Set
Memory Box Seraphine Laurel, Poppystamps Prim and Proper Bow
MFT Die-namics Stitched Rectangle Frames

That wraps it up!  How about some challenges?

Christmas Kickstart Challenge #103 - Snow Alert -- Sending my first card along for that.
Peace on Earth Christmas Challenge #98 -- The team has amazing samples following an inspiring mood board.  I'm sending my humble tractor & dog to join the convoy.
NBUS Challenge #79 -- Never before used schtuff.  Today my PB Wintertime Cheer, Jolly Edger, Joy Edger, and Graceful Holly are all being used for the first time

All my remaining Christmas cards will be made with never before used supplies as I have managed to gather quite a collection this year through sales, gifts, and just plain love of the craft.  Not sorry.

Thank you for coming to say "hi"!  I appreciate you and wish you a happy day!

Oh my stars, what a wonderful and festive collection of cards today! I loved seeing every one of your cards and didn't want them to end. You have such a great collection of PB images in your toy box, each one colored to perfection. It's hard to choose a favorite, but the birch framed owl is right up there at the top.

I absolutely LOVE each and everyone of these, of course add an animal and I am in heaven, lately I have been loving animals then most people and I am sure you know what I mean, so these adorable animals all decked out for Christmas are right up my alley, couldn't pick a favorite if I had to!! Oh and thanks for joining our Peace On Earth challenge too!!

Oh Leslie - they are all so wonderful!! So beautiful and intricate and special and totally different! How could anyone choose a favorite?

Oh my goodness I can't pick which is my favorite, I just love that little guy on the tractor trying to get the presents through all that snow, terrific coloring and like the bold sentiment in the back!
The second is so pretty with it's shading on the joy, pretty holly branch and that adorable dog, dressed up with his antlers, love the Little bird coming in to say Hi :)
The two on the third card look like they are having the time of their lives and I so love how you used the pattern paper in the sentiment border!
On the fourth the dog sleeping peacefully with his hat on is just the cutest and goes well with the sentiment, Love how you used the arch flowers with it! I so love how you used the frame in the last one with that Owl all bundled up with all the snow, and the cute bird delivering a Christmas card for him, all perfection!

Five more darling Christmas cards in your collection and they are all amazing. All so cute, but my favorite one is the dog with the antlers! We just got back to Florida on Saturday and it was quite the day with our plane being rerouted to Tampa, 2 1/2 hours away from Naples. The crafts are unpacked, but I have no mojo to get to them. You my dear, have now given me some incentive to get them done. I hope mine are as creative as these.

Leslie! These are all so adorable, and beautifully colored. Very artsy in their cuteness. Great take on the challenges, too! Your cards remind me of what a Christmas Party might be like in the Miller Home. All the critters enjoying themselves, and inviting their fur friends, to bring out the Merriment in the Merry part of Christmas! Wonderfully detailed, as are all your creations. Thanks for sharing! hugs, de

My eyes ate up every detail of these fabulous fun cards, Leslie! And I'm still smiling. The dog napping by the fire is my hand down favorite because of the cozy cuteness. I also love that sentiment. Don't know if I've seen it before but it looks amazing. The vine arching over it is perfection.

PS. I guess I imagined the fire. I'm sure it's there somewhere!

So much to love in this post, Leslie! Your little critters do such a wonderful job of sending good wishes for the holidays, with your help of course! Your coloring is spot on. I wish I could maneuver the Tom Bows like you do! I am looking forward to seeing even more from your NBUS stash.
