Hello everyone! I'm happy to share my first fall card of the (almost) season. We still have a few days of summer left so I'm not letting it go yet, but I do love fall cards.
I've had this Spellbinders Mushrooms From Me To You 3D emboss & cut folder for approximately a year. I bought the Scallop Labels and Tag dies at the same time and have used them quite a lot, but this is the first time for the mushrooms. I don't have a good excuse for why I waited so long. It's so cool how it works! The dies go right into the folder with the paper so it literally cuts and embosses at the same time. I guess I was under a rock again because I did not expect that.
So this is my result after simultaneously cutting and embossing, then "painting" with Tombow markers and blender, and embossing again just for good measure. After all that I decided to smoosh it all over with Versamark ink and emboss with ultra-thick embossing enamel. Loved it. Slipped it into the folder and embossed again.
I embossed the entire folded grocer's kraft card base with my Tim Holtz Lumber 3D embossing folder. Lined the inside with vanilla cardstock and will save the sentiment for later.
With all this embossing going on I naturally want to share in the Can You Handle the Pressure Challenge. It's plain to see I did not go with the optional "Balloons" twist.
I'm also sharing in the following challenges:
NBUS Challenge #78 -- Never before used schtuff -- Mushrooms From Me To You 3D emboss & cut folder
Thanks so much for visiting. It's been busy as ever here, especially now that Ridley has joined the family. Two Golden Retrievers are definitely better than one! Have a happy day!

So mush to love about this Fall card Leslie!! Those mushrooms and greenery are awesome and made even more so with both the dry and heat embossing! Love the close up that shows all the glossy shine from the heat embossing!! Your background card base is awesome too...looks just like real wood! Lovely, lovely Fall card my friend! Hugs. :0)
Wow, I have not seen this before, how creative and fun and all the embossing surely brought it to life. I truly love everything about this card! Thanks too for joining our Four Seasons and Can You Handle The Pressure challenges!!
Wow, Leslie..... this is amazing! I love the detail the extra thick embossing powder added. You got a lot of practice on different types of embossing with this lovely fall card. I just love it!
Wonderful card Leslie. I love mushrooms... Have a great day

What a cool folder! I love what you did with it. I love the glossy shine, too!
The embossing and shine on this is just incredible, Leslie! It looks like a painted decor item made of tin! Outstanding!
'Tis season alright! I could actually smell the mushrooms on our walk last evening! Hey - maybe I could be a truffle hunter?? lol
That shiny embossed image is a stunner, Leslie! How fun to learn that it's emboss-able! Lovely layers and fabulous woodgrain all stack up for one spectacular card!

What is it about mushrooms in the fall that make them so sticking cute? A fabulous embossing folder that gives texture too. I too love the shine on it all.
LOVE your fall garden card Leslie. I didn't realize that the dies can go inside the embossing folder. That is so clever ... thanks for letting us all know! LOVE this awesome card ... the embossed garden with mushrooms is so fun and I love the colours you've used. Adding the wooden embossed background is perfect. And I love the UTEE ... funny, I had been thinking about that stuff lately ... need to pull it out! :) xx
I've never tried to use the dies with the embossing folders. I always die cut then emboss. I'll have to try it all at once. This is awesome with all the texture, your beautiful coloring and that ultra think glaze! A beautiful way to welcome Fall, my friend!
Say what now? Make room for me under that rock, Leslie, as I'm intrigued and amazed! This is a charming toadstool scene and wow did you ever give it life with your painting and glossifying and embossing! I'm sure it's even more stunning in person! Thank you for inspiring everyone to use their NBUS! Hugs, Darnell
Wow amazing card, I love the effect of the Ultra thick Embossing Enamel. I must hunt mine out :)
OH WOW ... this is just AWESOME my friend! LOVE all the UT embossing and 3D embossing ... what a gorgeous outcome! You are so creative and have once again inspired me! I haven't used my UT embossing powder in years but love your outcome so first chance I get I'm going go give this entire technique a try. You card has so much life ... love it!
Ooops! Forgot to thank you for also sharing this beauty with us over on our Can You Handle the Pressure challenge! Awesome inspiration to all!!
i love this and how clever to dry emboss and heat emboss. I bet it looks so much better in real life and considering how good it looks in the photos that is some feat. I am going to have to give that a try, but I have no idea when! xx
