Easter Bunnies

Hello there!  I can hardly believe I've only used these sweet bunnies once before.  I had plans for them other than Easter, but then they were put away... you know how that goes.  Well, they're out enjoying the fresh air now.

Cheery Lynn Bunnies (out of business)
Spellbinders retired Homespun die set for basket
New Simon Says Stamp Pretty Bows
Impression Obsession Grass Border and Tall Grass
Poppystamps Stitched Main Street Tags
Cottage Cutz Happy Easter Phrase for the eggs and flowers

I used brushes and sponges for coloring, and a cloud stencil for the sky.

I'm sharing in the following challenges:

The Neglected Stuff Challenge -- My poor neglected bunnies.
A Cut Above, April -- Anything goes with a die cut

Our son was down visiting for his birthday weekend.  As I was finishing up today's card he popped in and snapped a picture with his phone.  He used an AI app to turn it into this cartoon rendition:

It's more or less the general idea.  That's not my face, by the way, but the clothes are fairly accurate.  It's all just for fun and it made me smile so thought I'd share with you.

Have a happy day!

Beautiful bunny card, I was wondering when you next bunnies would hop in! This card is certainly full of springtime goodness. Had a laugh at your son's fun photo, what a hoot! Oh, and I too hit (of course) the Spellbinders warehouse sale, how can we resist those $1 EB folders and more!

Pure cuteness, Leslie! (and I do mean the card, but mostly, the "caricature" of Miss Leslie at her art table). What I really REALLY love is that your son captured the JOY on your face - the loving happiness flowing from your heart - as you lavish yourself in the making of a card, so that others can enjoy your essence. I marvel at your creativity and thoughtfulness, and he really did capture it, even if the face doesn't look like you, the pure joy and love emanating from the heart is what I see. OK - back to your darling Easter Card - so sweet in its fun, colorful inkiness. The bunnies here are a gray color and about the size of a 12lb domestic kitty. The past 2 years, the bunnies have been well-behaved... grazing on the pasture grasses and weeds. They used to invite themselves into our veggie garden, and no matter what we did, we couldn't keep them out. Our Hunter Kitty took care of the problem rather quickly, even though she was smaller than the bunnies. Alas, no more kitties, so we are grateful for the well-behaved bunnies. But I digress... So happy we are friends, Leslie!
hugs,

I've been away from your blog and what a treat today! So glad you had a good visit. What fun the AI pic of you is!! I'm loving all your bunny cards. Our grand is getting a live bunny soon and alas I have no bunny supplies stamps or dies. This one is so cute! But not as cute as your picture is. Although it's not your face, I'm sure you are smiling. Me too!

I only WISh the wild bunnies that live under the neighbors shed/deck were as cute and well-behaved as these two cuties, Leslie! AND that they'd bring me a basket of goodies once in a while!
You've really brought these bunnies to life, my friend - have a wonderful Easter! I love your son's AI photo version of you and think you should frame it!

Two sweet Easter cards, Leslie! These bunnies are so sweet and I'm so glad you brought them out again! The bunnies are colored beautifully and look like the pair that's hanging out in our yard these days. The grasses are so pretty and so is the sky! I love the cartoon! It's amazing what these phones can do!

That is a neat thing that you can take a regular picture and make a cartoon out of it. Glad your son was able to come home , we haven't seen our daughter since last September :(

What a beautiful card. Rabbits have a soft spot in my heart. We had a few when my kids were young and Rachel and Sarah had one they called Gilbert and showed him at 4H. They are one of God's special creatures.
