Welcome back! It's good to be here with my crafty friends again so soon. Today I'm sharing a card I made for The Flower Challenge where they're asking for pink. I can do that!
While I had my Penny Black Winsomely set out for Rich's Valentine I decided to go right ahead and keep playing with it. This time I stamped the larger image in a soft grey and watercolored with a combination of Stampin' Up inks and Tombow markers. One of the card bases I made up with Jill's Sketch #4 made for a quick card design.
After coloring I cut by hand, then turned the flower cluster face down on a foam pad and used an Empressor rolling ball embossing tool to slightly round the cluster. Added bits of foam tape under the rounded parts. It's amazing how this small process improves the look of a hand cut image... when I can remember to do it.
I ink blended the sentiment and the panel inside the arch, and added some stamped splatters. Before I adhered the flowers to the card I splattered with white acrylic paint. I really don't know what's going wrong with my splatters lately, but it appears as though I dropped a paint can nearby.

WOW fabulous card, absolutely beautiful flowers and great background design-love all the splatters-I never have a good result with splatters, tried all sorts of brushes and end up with more surrounding the card than on it!!! lol.

Oh Leslie, this is absolutely GORGEOUS!! The roses just couldn't be any prettier (and the splatter looks fine to me!) and I love how they POP against the yellow arch! Oh no, the spatters are supposed to be random, and they add so much, Leslie! This is just wonderful, and I'm amazed that you fussy cut it out, what patience! All in all a lovely lovely card. You know I think the bit of yellow sponged is fabulous!

You really do know how add just a little bit extra to your cards, Leslie - I have not heard of that Empressor but am surely impressed with the wonderful results!

So gorgeous. You really did a fantastic job fussy cutting that image. It's got so many little parts to it. Beautiful coloring and the added yellow really makes the flowers pop.

Splatters remain out of my control, Leslie! Your roses are gorgeous! I received this set this week and I have to say the large design is intimidating. I need to study your coloring and give it a go! I love the red and yellow together and your splatters, both the stamped and the paint. A gorgeous card, my friend!
Girl, you have some mad fussy cutting skills! This is such a gorgeous card. The yellow background is so sunny and refreshing with your marvelous bouquet of roses and I think the splatters look great. Well done, Leslie... well done!!
Wow that is just gorgeous, the splattering and all, your coloring of those flowers are just wonderful, you do such a great job with the fussy cutting too! I like the sketch you used with it too.
