Hello, and welcome to a new week on the blog!
It's still autumn and though I need to double down on the Christmas cards, I took the time to make a card that won't even be sent till next year. It's good to have extras in the box. This is one of those simple cards -- stamp and do some quick coloring with Tombows and blender.
I stenciled the background and added a sentiment. Gave it the narrowest red border. The stamps are Penny Black and the stencil is a Creative Expressions mini. Everything is listed in the recipe. Sometimes I think I talk too much, so I'm keeping this brief.
I had the following challenges in mind for this card:
Penny Black Saturday Challenge -- It's "anything goes" with the option to "make a scene". Well, you know how I love to make a scene, but I held back this time.
Stencil Fun Challenge -- Anything goes with the option to "make it sparkle or shine". No sparkle or shine for me today.
NBUS Challenge #68 -- Never before used schtuff. The Penny Black Fall Breeze stamp is new to me and being used for the first time.

This is lovely Leslie! What a pretty image, colored to a "T", and I like how the brick facade makes a soft and subtle background with the bit of red peeking from behind. The perfect little touch!
A gorgeous card Leslie, I love the beautiful foliage brolly and delicate stencilled background.

very nice. I like it against the brick background. Have a great day
CAS and oh so pretty Leslie! Your coloring on the florals is beautiful (and the umbrella too!) and I love the faded brick stenciling in the background also...lovely, lovely card my friend!! Hugs. :0)
I always love coming to visit. I'm never disappointed my friend! I love the sweet image and your amazing coloring!
I have never thought you talked too much and it makes me happy that you explain your process and list your products, Leslie. Your umbrella holding the beautiful Fall foliage is perfect for a Fall card and it will keep. It's a pleasure to see something other than Christmas since I have just had a Christmas card class and appreciate seeing something else.
I’m always impressed with how you add your sentiment at the very end and it comes out perfectly straight. This is a darling card, with a most appropriate title for your blog post. Thanks for sharing your beauty today! Hugs, de
Talk too much?? NEVER did I ever think you did, Leslie! It's like inviting us into your playtime, and I love it. As much as I love your darling card!

What a lovely card simply made that says so much. These are great cards to always have in your stash to send out when you need them. I love that little red border.
This is a beautiful card for a California fall, Leslie! Today we are having it all - periods of heavy rain punctuated by sunshine! I love the sweet posies tucked into the pretty umbrella and the brick e/f works so well! Thank you for inspiring everyone to use their NBUS! p.s. You never talk too much! Of course, that's coming from someone who DOES talk too much, so there's that! Hugs, Darnell
What a sweet card! CAS is the way to go! Love the stencil in the background. How did we get along without them? Your coloring is so pretty. It is nice to have stash on hand. Have a great week!
Oooh, I love it, Leslie!! Just the right amount of background, wonderful sentiment and a great image that is perfectly colored. And, you could never "talk" too much! I love when you talk about everything on the card to make sure that I don't miss any of your details.
that's a great stamp and such lovely colours. The stencil background works well too and I love the tiny red border. Small borders are best in my view. Of course you don't talk too much. Don't fret xx
your pink brick wall is the perfect background for your umbrella bouquet, I love the card xx
