It was hard to put my mind to it, but I made a small batch of Christmas cards. I believe I made these in May. I looked at some of the oldest Christmas paper in my collection and decided I would make an effort to use it. One 6x6 sheet made four cards, not that I'm trying to stretch it, but that's the way it worked out with this design. The white snowflakes are layered onto an old CTMH color -- Green Chiffon -- which I'm loving all over again. It's kind of a minty green.
Inside was super easy because I used a digital sentiment which my friend, Donna Ellis, designed and offered as a freebie on her blog here (scroll down). I printed up a bunch of these for future use. It really helps. Thanks, Donna!
Moving along... They're coming to lay new flooring in our whole house the week of July 12, so I'm doing what I can in my stamp room until then. I'll have to take everything out of the cabinets and find someplace to put it. What a jumbled mess that will be! Cannot move the furniture without removing items because it will all be too heavy and awkward. I'm sure you can imagine. They'll do the bare floors in two days, then the livingroom carpet another day. I'm keeping my eye on the prize, but not looking forward to the process.
Take good care till we meet again.

Great job on more Christmas cards - way to go! Love the snowflakes. Good luck with you renovations. Not fun to go through, but well worth it when it's finished.
really good idea. Simple but effective. I can do that too and put a calligraphed word instead... Have a great day

Leslie, your DSP is beautiful and your snowflakes sweet with the soft green layer, you just gave me a great idea to use my Christmas paper scraps, Lord knows I have plenty.
The sentiment outside is bold and it stands out against the softer colors, the sentiment inside is so sweet and I love the way it rhymes.
I don't envy you with all of these work being done at your home, been there, done that when they remodeled my kitchen but just think and concentrate on the goal, the price when you cross that finish line is beautiful and it will be worth all the preparations and the mess.
Hang in there my dear friend.
How are Lulu and Wally taking all of this? I hope they don't mind too much the workers and the noise.
Stay healthy and safe.
Hugs.
Maria.
Yay, always good to add to the Christmas card stash. Festive cards.
What a great idea - love the Christmas cards! The green chiffon is a really nice color. I stopped over and downloaded the sentiment as I thought is was really nice! Good luck with the flooring - it seems like everything today is such a big project but the end result will be great! Hope Lulu and Wally are holding up under the noise!
Great idea and would be nice for those papers you love but don't have a lot of, the mint behind on the snowflakes is a great touch. Donna sure did make a pretty sentiment didn't she :)
I know it is going to be a lot of work but bet it's exciting too, I would love to have ours done, maybe someday :)
LOVE your cards Leslie! What a great design and awesome way to use patterned paper. You might see me CASEing this design in the future! Lovely sentiment designed by your friend! xx
Simply Merry Christmas card CAS design, Leslie. You might have to turn your RV into a craft storage room for at least a few days. Such a major redo of the house. I look forward to a grand tour when you are finished, my friend. I really love your pretty Christmas card design and use of your pretty DSP and die cut snowflakes with your die cut Merry. Awesome that you got 4 card for your stash. Hang in there...you will love the final results. Love and Hugs..Nancy
I love your cards my friend! The paper is beautiful and what sweet little snowflakes! I too love that pretty shade of mint green and it works perfectly with the snowflakes. Have a lovely rest of the week!
Fabulous way to use up papers, I need to do that myself! Very beautifully designed cards! I can't imagine having to remove all from my craft room, yikes, but it will be worth it in the end, just keep telling yourself that. We want to put new flooring in our bedroom but like you will have to remove heavy furniture, it is white berber now, what were we thinking!!
This is a very simple design but very effective, perfect for making multiples. I don't envy you having your floors done. We desperately need new carpets, but we just can't get our heads around having to empty the rooms to have them fitted, so another year goes by and the need to renew them just gets a bit more urgent! xx
I love this design and it is perfect for some of the pop up cards I do. Great way to use designer paper too.
Home remodeling is such a pain but so worth it in the end! I don't envy you having to pack up everything! Your cards are so pretty! I need to do that and use up some of that paper! It's a great way to do it! Love those snowflakes with the green shadow!
Fabulous cards Leslie! Love your CAS design. Great way to use scraps of paper. I really like the green shadow layer behind your white snowflake, makes them pop! Your renos are coming along nicely, it will be so nice when everything is done!!
Have a wonderful day!
Oh your cards are fantastic! The stamping is amazing - I actually thought is was patterned paper! Gosh you have got a lot going on in your home... I hope all goes well for you... Just breathe!
Big things coming in the house update but I hope you're seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. It's hard to believe you are able to stamp with all that's going on. These Christmas cards look great! I love the pop of deep red tying everything together. Great design!
great way to use up scraps...what a lovely set of cards!
Yikes! I thought I'd left a comment long ago, in a land far away, when I visited your blog last month! I hate not having much of a brain these days. Your CAS card is darling! I love the triad of vertical DP lines and the sweet dancing snowflakes! You always come up with the best designs! hugs, de
