Beribboned Easter Egg

Hello!  I'm happy to have a moment to be here today, considering all the remodeling disruption at our house these last couple of weeks.  It's noisy, it's messy, and I miss my bathroom!  We're not even close to being done yet as we still have LOTS more remodeling projects lined up.  It's crazy!

I took a day to finish an Easter card I've been coloring in tiny bits a minute or two at a time.  I love this Power Poppy digi called Vintage Easter Egg.  It colors up so prettily!

I used my go-to Tombow markers and blender on hot press watercolor paper.  Delicately patterned paper was used for the frame, with a corner die cut added for flourish.

My apologies for not being around to visit for a while.  I can't even imagine what it will be like when we start on the floors.  Please bear with me!

For those who would wonder:  LuLu was treated for an eye injury and appears to be healing nicely.  We saved her eye and she's as adorable as ever.  Thank you so much for your visit today!

Stamps:  Power Poppy Vintage Easter Egg digi  Paper:  Fabriano Artistico Extra White 140 lb hot press watercolor, Neenah Classic Crest Super Smooth Solar White 80 & 110 lb, retired Memory Box Spearmint designer paper  Ink:  Printer  Coloring:  Tombow markers & blender  Dies:  Memory Box Oval Master Frame and Melinda Corner  Other:  Rhinestones

This is so beautiful. Your watercoloring is the best, and I love the pretty frame. I love what you do. So glad to hear athat LuLu is healing. I know what you are going through with the remodel. I did my house about 7 years ago and it was a mess. I had to pack up everything as if I was moving. Then clean up and wipe down all the walls when they were done with the floors.

Beautifully colored, like a real Easter sugar egg! You have the best coloring ever! Remodel, oh oh, that can be so good and stressful at the same time, I remember when we redid our kitchen and our bathroom, seemed like it took forever, there seems to always be something done with houses doesn't there? But in the end it is usually good!!

Oh, I forgot to say, I am happy to hear Lulu is doing great, so hard when our furbabies are down and out as they can't tell us a thing except by their sad faces!

So happy to hear that LuLu is doing well, Leslie! What a relief for all of you. Renos are hard! They disrupt life and it's hard to focus. But think of what it will be like when they are done ... fabulous!!

Lovely easter egg scene, Leslie. As always, I'm in awe of your colouring. Beautiful card, my friend. xx

Don't you just love the little eyelet details in the pretty ribbon? Your vintage creation is beautifully done, especially because it was done cherishingly in one-to-two minute increments. The watercolor background is the perfect touch, too. I don't envy you having your home all topsy turvy, but when it is all done, you'll be calmly and happily sighing with happiness. There is no place like home! I'm grateful you can do some of the work, and have contractors do the rest. I'd love seeing your before and after photos! Happy pre-Easter to you, Leslie! hugz, de

Hello Leslie: First of all, I'm so very happy Lulu is doing well, that must feel like a huge weight has been lifted from your shoulders, she is indeed, a sweet and beautiful friend. Now, I know how hard it is to have remodeling projects going on at home, been there, done that!! It's awful, dusty and noisy but, in the end, when you get back your house, it feels wonderful.
Now, this is the most adorable Easter Egg I've ever seen and with your amazing coloring, it's even more beautiful.
I don't know how I have missed this digi, I'm going to go look for it.
Thank you for sharing.
Stay healthy and safe, my friend.
XO
Maria.

Oh Leslie, this is absolutely gorgeous! Love the softness and colours of your colouring, and the added corner die (is to die for!) just finishes this off. Such good news about Lulu, what a relief! So glad she is on the mend! Yes remodeling can be noisy, messy but so worth it in the end! We have our kitchen to do, hopefully next year. Lovely seeing your card today, even though I'm a week late.
Take care Leslie!

I am glad to hear that surgery went well and she is doing ok. Yes she is adorable as ever I'm sure. Furry kisses from me. :-) Remodleing the bathroom huh, we aren't doing master until next year. Craft room/office first at our house. But waiting until get this new job and balancing figured out. ha!
This Easter card is very pretty. I like the colorful nature with the egg solid focus.
