Hello, friends! It's time for our February CAS Mix Up challenge. This month it's hosted by Nancy and she's asking us for Stencil Heat Embossing.
Please see the challenge blog for all the instructional videos Nancy has linked. For my stencil heat embossing I smooshed Versamark ink through the stencil and then applied two different embossing powders -- yellow and dark red. I allowed the dark red to filter through the yellow so it has a peppery look.
Come along and play with us at CAS Mix Up. Have some fun with heat embossing through a stencil and exercise your CAS skills at the same time. I'm still working on mine. There are great samples by the team and our guest designer, Arlene, on the challenge blog. Enjoy!

Ooooh. Such beauty and shine. Love the colors you chose, as well. The interplay of them adds so much texture. You managed to use both my favorite color and favorite frame...how did your know?
Absolutely beautiful love the embossed stencil-never tried that technique

I love the colour and the shine and how you have framed it. Stunning xx
A ray of sunshine Leslie! Great job! x
I LOVE yellow and red together and they work so perfectly in this design, Leslie! An awesome stencil and I love the two tone embossing and matching embossed die cuts! Bright, happy and fun!
Beautiful colours and perfect design. xx
It's a beauty, Leslie....I like the multi-colored embossing. The frame is perfect!
Wow...Stunning heat embossed stenciled image using yellow and red embossing powders. I love how you used both colors for such a beautiful and interesting effect. Gorgeous heat embossed leaves and sentiment and woodgrain frame too. Thank you so much for sharing. Isn't it fun trying new techniques?!? I want to try making woodgrain frames. I love the look. Love and Hugs...Nancy
great colour combo with your embosses stencilling :)
Beautiful sunny card! It reminds me of sunshine and makes me happy!
So pretty Leslie!
Beautiful card and I love the combination of the two powders together. I only have done this with gold embossing powder but I might have to try several colors to see how it looks.
I so enjoy playing with EPs, Leslie. Your blended colors look especially stunning together. That "thanks" die cut is the perfect component to make your recipient feel appreciated! It's beautiful, Leslie. hugs, de
Wow! Wow! Wow! This is absolutely gorgeous. Your embossed colors are fabulous with the touch of the red on the gold. The added leaf and sentiment really show it off so well. Hugs.
Such a fun technique - I'll have to remember to use it again. Your card, of course, is fabulous, Leslie. I like the pretty colors.
LOve the yellow with red - which did turn the prettiest color when they mixed, Leslie! Very pretty, and peppery!

This is GORGEOUS and the colors you've chosen really compliment each other! What a clever technique! Hope I find time to give it a try and play along. Thanks for beautiful inspiration my friend! Stay well!
Lovely. Have a great day
So pretty, gonna have to give this one a try.
What a great CAS! You did such an amazing job! I love how your card turned out!! Great colors and technique! Interesting to do two embossing powders together. We had 31" of snow so far and it is still snowing! Joe got stuck at the bottom of the driveway with the plow so we are awaiting the kids to come and help dig out!! Haven't seen a plow in 2 days! UGH!! Stay safe!
The frame makes the image just pop. Lovely!
Oh wow that combining of the embossing powders sure does look cool, I love the embossing on the leaves too, such a pretty stencil you have there! I like the white frame for it all!
Combining the two colours of embossing powders for your background turned out AMAZING, Leslie! Love this colour combination. The woodgrain frame is lovely. And heat embossing the leafy sprig and sentiment reinforces your colour combination. Beautiful card! xx
This is absolutely gorgeous! So much shine! Brilliant Leslie
Leslie, I've done stenciling on a few cards, but never using this technique, your card is just so beautiful, love the images with the two colors, the fabulous frame and the bold, shiny sentiment.
I'm going to watch the videos and give this challenge a try.
Thank you for the inspiration.
Stay healthy and safe.

Maria.
What a stunning effect and such a beautiful and shiny card x.
Wow! this is GORGEOUS Leslie! Lovely stencil and love the colours of embossing powder you used. The 'peppery' look is so cool! I really like the accent leaf and sentiment embossed, just finishes this off so nicely. This technique takes stenciling to the next level, must give this a try! Thank you for sharing today, always love seeing your creations Leslie!
I will need to remember to heat emboss through my stencils. Love how this turned out, Leslie! I especially like the shine of the embossed sentiment.
A lovely mix of red and yellow powders Leslie! The woodgrain frame is perfect around your leaves!
Great stencil Leslie and I love the two tone effect you achieved with all the shine. Beautiful card!
Your card is just gorgeous! I love the contrasting colours!
