A Cat with Heart

Monday greetings, friends!  I hope you're doing well today.  I'm feeling fine, but a little disappointed that I'm not going to manage as many Valentines as I'd hoped.  Other cards happened, plus projects around the house, then this, that, and the other thing.  That's life!

I do have two Valentine cards with a not-yet-used Tutti die called Fancy Hearted Cat.  It's not new, but you know me -- it just doesn't matter.  The first is a 4 3/4" square with a heart in the background and a mix of patterned papers.  The sentiment is an oldie from my stash.

The second card is 5" and has a brushed ink glow in the background.  The inset hearts on this cat came from the cat in the first card and vice versa.  I believe I had at least three different paper pads out for these cards.  Whatever works, right?

I'm joining some fun challenges today:

Dies R Us Challenge -- Anything goes as long as something on your project is carried by the DRU store

Shopping Our Stash:  Love is in the Air -- Use hearts.  I shopped my stash for the mix of designer papers and everything else, even though the cat die is NBUS.

NBUS Challenge #23 -- Never Before Used Schtuff (cat die)

The stitched hearts are also by Tutti -- Stitched Nesting Hearts.  I'm going to keep this post quick so I can go make some more Valentines.  That sounds like fun, doesn't it?  Have a happy day!

What more could a girl ask for? A kitty dripping in jewels and hearts! Valentine's Day will be here soon and you are very prepared my friend. I love both of these!

What a cool die, and your cards are so pretty! I hope you had fun making valentines. Even though I have many done, none of them are really suitable for our grandkids, so I better get busy on them!

Very Nicely done. That's a really nice cat die.I've made a few Valentine's cards this year, so maybe they'll go to someone next year...
We're in for FRIGID temps for the next week and some snow almost every day. We just had a good 6" overnight. I'm definitely hibernating. Have a great day

I love that gorgeous die. Both cards are really amazing. Love how you incorporated the cutouts from one on to the other. Very clever as always with your designs.

Darling cat valentines. I know I only made Valentines for the family. After all the Christmas cards, and the mail slow down I just didn't feel like making myself crazy to get them in the mail but the end of January.

What great cards! I love them! What a great die and the DSP just makes the cards! It feels good to use up some of that paper and it's nice to make different sized cards as well! I'm scrambling as well to get my Valentine cards out. It seems Spring is taking way too long to get here but the holidays are flying by. I always wonder how I got things done when I was working!! Of course, I was younger and had more energy! LOL!

Love this die, and love your cards Leslie! I'm always envious of your Valentine cards (well all your cards), but you always seem to have the perfect stamp or die for all the occasions. Love all the different papers you used to create these, and how you used the little hearts from one for the other! Yes I agree, life does get in the way of our crafting at times. Well, you still have a bit of time before Valentines Day, I'm sure you will have a few more to share. Keep well, have a wonderful day!

Love them, I like your use of the different papers, they are all great together, I like the love inside the heart on the second cat, I like how you layered the first cat on the heart, such lovely background papers!! Hope you were able to go make more cards, I will probably get the two I usually do this year!

I not too fond of cats IRL but I love the ones that you make, Leslie! The cards you created with the cat die have such purr-sonality! I love how the white cat shows up boldly but the other car has jewels. TWO-fer of sweet Valentines!

You're doing better than I am, Leslie. I've made a total of one Valentine and that's all I plan to do. Some years it just sneaks up on us, especially when you throw in that other thing! These two are beautifully composed to showcase that regal cat! I love your use of papers and how you mixed and matched to add more interest and not have scraps leftover! Have a great weekend and thank you for sharing with everyone at NBUS! Take care and keep safe! Hugs, Darnell
