Feline Friends

Hello again!  It's been a while since I made this card.  I was thinking in terms of using some old papers with a not-yet-used stamp.  I seriously need to reduce the bulk in my basket full of stamps that have yet to see ink.  I love the quirky whimsy of Laurel Burch stamps and all the different things you can do with the color, so I combined this one with some nearly vintage BasicGrey.

I made a frame with an old tag die and I even used an eyelet.  Imagine that!  One down, 50 bazillion to go.  Coloring is Tombow water-based markers with minimal use of the blender pen.

I've always enjoyed mixing up papers and making fun, yet easy to mail cards.  This one with envelope and protective sheet weighs less than an ounce.  My very accurate little scale removes all the guesswork.  I bought the scale for weighing my Copics as I refill them, but it has come in handy for other things, as well.  The scale I purchased (in 2019) is here.

I'll send this card with its Laurel Burch stamp over to Darnell's NBUS Challenge (never before used schtuff).

Thanks for visiting!

Well, you know how I LOVE kitty cats and this is adorably cute! What a purr-fect color match your papers are and a super cute cute design! I have so many stamps waiting for ink and I just keep ordering more, I think it is what keeps me halfway sane!! In the process of decluttering my room right now so haven't created much and I need a new comfy chair to sit in as this one kills my back, all in due time!

I love the way you colored those whimsical cats - so cute! And I love that you used eyelets! I used eyelets on the tags I made for Christmas presents. I have about 50 bazillion let, also. LOL! Well, maybe not quite that many.

what adorable little cats, thanks for the nudge in using up some of the stacks of DP I have.
I use my precision scales for mailing cards, they're always handy to have around for more than cooking:)

Love the fun patterns in these guys, your coloring of them is so cool. That sentiment is so sweet with them and that is a neat style to the tag. I remember those papers, good to see the vintage stuff come back with the new :)
Yes we need to use more of our eyelets!

Such a cheerful, whimsical, colourful card Leslie, makes me smile. I know how much you love these stamps, and it amazes me how you colour them, with such a variety of colours. Love that frame and those BasicGrey papers, I believe I still have lots of this in my stash! Glad to see you used one of the 50 Bazillion eyelets!
Sorry for the late comments this week, getting caught up now. Hope you are doing well.

Those are some cool cats! Kind of remind me of Kliban cats, who I haven't thought of for a very long time. :-D

What a smart way to refill your Copics, by weighing them. I recently bought some Copic refills from Blick Art Supplies, and they are wayyyyy easier to refill than they were before.
