Hi, there, and welcome back for more Christmas cards today! I'm showing two different cards, both made with Cottage Cutz dies. The first was the easy peasiest thing ever because I pulled the smooshed watercolor background from my stash. It was not so pretty as a whole sheet, but as a cut down piece I love it. I made two of the first design. Note to self: Make lots more backgrounds for my stash.
I made only one of the next card as it was a little more involved. I wanted it to be simpler, but it just didn't happen. Minimal coloring, ancient designer paper, Wink of Stella for shimmer (not that you can see it in the photo). The frame is a spare part -- a negative left over from cutting an oval.
I hope to be back by Friday with a batch of Christmas cards, but it remains to be seen. I'm getting cards in the mail each day, but US mail has been iffy so I sure hope they arrive by Christmas. I've been receiving cards -- thank you, friends. One of the cards took 12 days to travel from the midwest to here (west coast), which is a trip that previously took only 4 days.
Take care, be safe, hang in there, things will get better. Merry everything!

Both are gorgeous! I love the pretty background in the first one and that sweet snowman in the second one just captures my heart!
Fabulous cards using the fun Cottage Cutz! I have been drawn to those moose in the first card forever it seems, what a beautiful way to use them with that stunning background!! Love the snowman card too and the bits of color added makes for a perfect scene! Can't wait to see all your other Christmas cards, I haven't sent most of mine out yet, I had better get busy real fast!!
These are both fabulous. I love the background of the first card. Must be so much fun to sit and play. I recognize that dp in the second card. I believe I have some in my stash somewhere. I'm working on getting my cards ready to mail out. Hopefully, I'll make one trip to the PO on Saturday.
These die cut scenes are fantastic. I love both.
Both cards are fabulous and I really LOVE the background panel on that first card! The recipients of these cards are going to be THRILLED!!! Well done my friend! Please stay healthy & safe!
What fabulous backgrounds and the perfect dies to embellish them. Beautiful.
Both (all three!) 0f these cards are wonderful, Leslie! Love the background on the first card. That isn't something that I do very often - make backgrounds - but there sure are many ways to do them! The snowman is so cute, and I'm sure the sparkle is spectacular! Gee - could it be my card that took twelve days?? Seems about the right timing. :) If so, I'm glad it finally made it.
cute cards. Love the smooshed background. Have a great day
Oh my Leslie! Both cards are beautiful. Your smooshed background on your first card is fabulous, as is that die, and yes you need to make more backgrounds for your stash! Oh and your second card with that adorable snowman - love, love! I rally like that you only added colour to bits and pieces of this die cut. Wonderful paper too, I have some of that, seems like I'm hoarding it, I really got to get over that! You have some of the best dies from Cottage Cutz. I wish the shipping wasn't so expensive to Canada. Thanks for sharing these today, beautiful as always! Take care.
wowzer absolutely fabulous, lovely designs and gorgeous cards. xxx
Two gorgeous backgrounds, Leslie! I especially love the first one with the purples! Cute, cute cute die cuts for two very festive and fun Christmas cards!
I have that moose die too...just love it. Such a cute card...well BOTH are super cute cards!!
I agree your background piece is darling and goes so well with the die cuts. Yes please use more from your stash. :-) Great cards!
that is a cool background on the first, I love those moose, cute little scene.
You know I love the snowman, even little ones on the background paper :) love the little owl in the tree, the bunny and the cute cardinals, the sweetest little scene! Love how you used the snowflake set with it.
I need to rummage in my background stash. I'm running out of cares and need some QCAS ones. Awesome inspiration :)
LOVE your background from your stash on your 1st easy and fun Christmas card. Wonderful Let it Snow Winter Scene for your 2nd card too. TFS my friend. Love and Hugs...Nancy
What great cards - I love the Cottage dies! The moose and snowman are so cute! Your background turned out really nice as well! So much fun! I'm making the kids cards now and then hopefully I'm done! It's too cold and snowy to go out!
Aww, these are darling cards, Leslie! Wintry scenes with lots of crisp white are always pretty, but the terrific dies kick them up a notch. And the background is perfect! Love that one best.
I received your beautiful card this week and thank you, my friend! Will be mailing mine tomorrow.
Two really great cards but I think the first one is my favourite. I love it when you can use something from your stash, it is such a good feeling especially when you didn't like it much when it went in there. That's often how things end up in my stash! xx
Those dies make such pretty cards! Love the smooshed background! ♥ Sue Kment
I think that's the first time I've seen a moose die... Lovely card and the perfect BG! And who couldn't love your snowman scene... Adorable! I hope my card gets to you...
Gorgeous cards, the penguin one with the stunning background is gorgeous! The second one using the Mintay papers, well all I can say is it's downright gorgeous and what a creative way to show it off, thanks for the idea!! I received the cutest Christmas card and I want to thank you so much!! I treasure all my cards I receive and have a beautiful collection of them and keep every one! Have a safe and wonderful holiday season!!
PS: I have every pad of Mintay 6 x 6 paper they have come out with, (and P13, too), I think I have a 'Mintay' problem LOL!! What's really bad is I want to re-order a couple of them that are almost gone!!
I love them both. They are so cute. That first one is my favorite though.
Two fabulous Christmas cards Leslie. LOVE the artsy smooshed background that you used for the first card with your trees and reindeer die-cut. Adorable! A great way to make a quick card! Your second card is beautiful. Amazing die-cuts and beautiful patterned paper. xx
