Scraps and NBUS

Hello and welcome!

As I was filing away yet another scrap of textured cardstock (all sorted in bags by color) I decided I finally had to do something about the overstuffed bag situation.  Just one card, but it's a start.  The 1" wide strips were corner punched on one end.  I scored a line on the white card base to help keep things even, and then I added the rest -- some scraps of designer paper, an old Rubbernecker sentiment, and a not-yet-colored digi that's been in my box for a long time .  This one is a Bugaboo oldie called 4 Square Floral.

Before there were dies I relied on punches and decorative edge scissors to do the fancy work.  To save space in my stamp room I've given up most of those items, but a few have survived the purges.  Pictured below is the lower edge of the card inside.  The flower is a Poppystamps Flower Stack die.

Since my Bugaboo digi is NBUS I'm sending this card over to Darnell's NBUS Challenge #16.

Thank you for coming today!

Well Leslie, hurray for you using your scraps of textured paper, I have bags of it by color too so, before I go and cut more, I first look in the bags, I hate to throw away paper.
I love the design on your sweet and beautiful card with the punched out ends, love those little sketchy flowers too, I'm going to CASE your design idea, so stay tuned, LOL!!
Thank you for sharing.
Stay healthy and safe.
XO
Maria.

What a gorgeous card my fiend! Hope you guys are well. I'm still staying to myself and only go out for groceries and prescriptions. Our cases in the state are rising also since we opened up. I'm trying to be diligent.

This is cute and sweet, Leslie, and I like what you did at the bottoms of each of the green cardstock vertical stripes. Very clever, and it was a subtle detail I noticed after the flowers. Loved your pics of Wally and LuLu the other day. They always make me smile. :-)

I like how you put this all together and using your scraps and do dahs that you have hanging around and it looks so beautiful. I love the punch you used inside and the flower accent. Always so nice to find a stamped image or a sticker inside your card when you open it up;) Hugs

What a great way to use those small strips of cardstock that seem to multiply in the bags! Love the sweet colored flowers and the polka dots and checks! The scalloped edges add extra interest! Punches still come in handy!

Kudos to you for using up scraps, I try to use them quite frequently but they seem to multiply quickly! Your card is so lovely Leslie, love the punched ends on the background strips, your sweet coloured image and all the details to finish this off. The way you finished off the inside completes this perfectly! Thanks for sharing today!

What a beautifully designed card this is. I love the added black polka dot strip and love the tip of scoring then lining those strips up, hope I can remember that. I still have all my punches!
