Old Goats for Girls

Hey, there!  Billies or nannies... did you know both goat genders have horns?  They both have beards, too.  I had to look it up.  These goats are part of the Old Goat Set from Art Impressions.  I've had it a while, but was full up on guy birthday cards so it just sat around waiting its turn till my friend suggested there was no reason it couldn't be used for girlfriends.  Hmmm... why didn't I think of that?

I had a not-yet-used card layout and an ornate white mat in my card parts drawer.  Put them together and they made an adequate base for this bunch of birthday well wishers which I colored with Copics and fussy cut.  The sentiment and the balloons are popped up.

Speaking of those balloons... they appear as though I might have colored them and left white highlights, or perhaps added white gel pen when, in fact, each is cut from plain old colored card stock and coated with Glossy Accents.  The white highlights simply appeared in the photo.  Very cool!

Moving right along... I'll be back when stamping happens.  My billies/nannies and I wish you a happy day!

Stamps:  Art Impressions Old Goat Set  Paper:  Neenah Classic Crest Super Smooth Solar White, textured white, scraps colored card stock, Prima Fairy Flora designer paper  Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black  Coloring:  Copic markers  Accessories:  Inkssentials Glossy Accents, oval punch, corner punch, Scotch brand foam mounting tape  Dies:  Spellbinders Floral Ovals, Impression Obsession Balloons

Love it, perfect for both genders, even for teens, but whoever receives it, I'm sure they will get a kick out of it, such funny faces of these critters.
Love the pattern paper too and that sentiment is just perfect.
Thank you for sharing.

How cool that the white highlight just appeared on the baloons. You have so many fun whimsical stamps. This is so much fun with that sentiment. Goats are fun to watch especially the babies.

Oh my, love this card Leslie, makes me smile! I never knew that about goats, but hey I think your right, this can go for either gals or guys! The sentiment is perfect, and love your balloons, very cool how the photo picked up the highlight. As always your image is beautifully coloured, and nice to have something already to go in your parts drawer! Just looking at their faces, they crack me up! So cute Leslie, a fun card anyone would appreciate receiving!

I’m a nannie, but wouldn’t mind being a Billie occasionally when I need to be a bit more assertive. Your Old Goat card is fantastic, Leslie! Our neighbors have goats and they are crazy funny! Your background paper is gorgeous, so pretty with the colorful border. Leave it to Leslie, the master colorist, to have a camera do the highlights in your balloon! Wishing you a great week. Hugs, de

Everyday I walk by 2 goats with horns and beards..Now after reading about your goats I am wondering if they are boys or girls? They both love to be scratched between their horns:-) TFS your beautifully colored goats and more feminine embellishments. One of your girlfriends will love this card:-) Hugs..Nancy

Awesome card my friend and fabulous inspiration (which I can use right about now). Hugs & Happy Day!

What a cute card! I didn't know that about the horns and beards. I love the sentiment as well! I think that's pretty neat about the highlights and the lighting! I love the faces - they look like they're not sure they want to be another year older! Ha!

I just love this card! The goats and sentiment make me kind of giddy. The balloons look amazing with the shine, and the whole scene makes me happy! I always learn from you, Leslie. I white die cut in my mind would not fit with the goats - nor would the balloons - but these elements are terrific together a la Leslie.

I did not know that both sexes of goats have horns and beards! YOu taught me something new today. This is a funny and cute card, and I also love how the glossy accents created those white highlights when you took the picture.
