Mermaid Flow

Welcome, friends!  A new week, a new month... I can hardly believe March is upon us already, but here it is, nearly spring.  Might as well start out the month with a pop of color.

I've collected a few Laurel Burch stamps from Stampendous.  This one is called Mermaid Flow.  It's one of my newest stamps, added to round out my beachy/fishy/underwater/nautical collection which was lacking, but is in much better shape now.  I colored all fanciful with my Copic markers, framed, added some shimmer... and now it's ready for the mail.

A close up shows some of the Wink of Stella shimmer.

I'm still trying to get my coloring mojo back.  Thank you for being patient with me.  I'll list supplies below.  Have yourself a wonderful day!

Stamps:  Stampendous 'Mermaid Flow' by Laurel Burch  Paper:  Neenah Classic Crest Super Smooth Solar White for image panel, Neenah 110 lb white for frame and seashell, Bazzill black  Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black  Coloring:  Copics  Dies:  Die-namics Stitched Rectangle Frames, Taylored Expressions Stitched Rectangle Stacklets, Impression Obsession Seashell Set

Beautifylly colored. I love that you used bold but spring like color shades instead of the heavy reds, yellows, oranges greens one often sees her stamps /illustrations showing.

I love seeing the stamps you chose and then I'm amazed at the way you bring them to life with your coloring choices. Your bold color choices are so special. I never could imagine black for the fish but it is stunning! The frames top it off perfectly. This is beautiful, Leslie. No worries about being patient, we have all been there.

Beautiful!!!. Thank you for the inspiration. I've been looking for a vibrant type of artist to emulate and have been having problems... I've looked at 100's of artists and nothing clicked... Laurel is exactly the vibrancy I'm looking for. Have a great day

LOVE LOVE LOVE that watery background that brings out the mermaids blue eyes, Leslie! It's a gorgeous way of featuring COLOR and using black and white to die it all in together. I especially like the dramatic look of the fish with black in those amazing, contrasting, fishie hues! It's a beautiful creation. You may be feeling a lack of coloring mojo, but it doesn't look that way to me. Besides, my mojo has disappeared! I need her back in a hurry! hugs, de
