A Happy Hello

Before we leave on our next trip I was hoping to make cards with the things I colored on our previous camping trip.  Sounds easy enough, right?  Well, this one required a few extra parts so it took me a while to get around to it, but it's done now... with plenty of cheery yellow and white and a most adorable stamp set which I love all the more because I waited a year(?) to purchase it -- WPlus9 Hello & Thanks.

I colored with Copics on watercolor paper, and when we returned home I cut the images with the companion die set.  Arranged on an Impression Obsession frame and an embossed die cut panel.  I used one of my smallest Beauty Kate make up blending brushes to smudge ink onto each embossed dot.  Added a rhinestone flourish for steam because I might as well use those up and, gosh, what a cute embellishment it made!

There's plenty of texture and dimension, but it's still an easy to mail card.  Sweet!

I'll have more with this set later as I colored enough for two cards plus their insides.  I may not do as much, if any, coloring on our August trip.  I'll take supplies, but we'll be on the move a lot, road tripping and exploring interesting sites along the way.  If you don't hear from me for a while you'll know I'm somewhere awesome.  I do have a few posts scheduled for this month... just so you don't forget me, sniff sniff.

Supply list below my signature.  Have a happy day!

Those sweet little birds just make my heart sing! My song birds have migrated already and I do miss their sweet singing in the morning! These little birds remind me of them. It does seem a little early so I'm wondering if we will have an early Fall. Great idea for the steam!

Such a happy card. I love the little bit of yellow on the embossed background and the birds and coffee cup really pop on your fame. I never would have thought to use that pretty rhine stone flouris but it works so well on this design.

This card is adorable. I love the little birds perched on the cup which stand out with the yellow die cut and the embossed yellow dots. Adding the little rhinestones for the steam was such a great idea! I can hardly wait to see what you do next with this set. Enjoy your travels!

I hope you have a fabulous time!

Sigh... Let's face Reality here... I am addicted to Leslie Art. I don't believe there is anything you've ever made that has not made my heart happy, my heart feel inspired, and where I have learned a something new about how to use stash stuff. The textured dots with splashes of sunshine are so heart warming! And I love that the little birds are treated to a special brew just for them! Beautiful card, Leslie!

Wishing you a safe, enjoyable camping trip - one with precious memories and lots of fur fun! hugs, de
