This one stumped me for a while as I don't have many star stamps. Dies yes, stamps no, but I was determined to meet this challenge with a stamp. Just got that stuck in my head and wouldn't let it go. Finally, I reached far back into the distant past and pulled out a small Stampin' Up! stamp from a set called "Background Basics". It's perhaps not the "star" of the show, but by stamping repeatedly it makes a pretty good back up player.
I have a Christmas card (yay!) and a thank you card:
If I'd known the Christmas card was going to be so easy I might have made more. I do like it in its clean and simple way. Maybe try different colors. I sprinkled the stars across the foreground and background panels then stamped another oldie -- Uptown Rubber Stamps "Merry Little Christmas". Copic colored and sparkled with Stickles.
Hop over to the Twofer Blog for all kinds of inspiring samples, including those of our two lovely guest designers. Enjoy!

Here kitty, kitty! I love both your cards but that little kitty just is a winner for me. She definitely should strut her stuff!
Well I'm glad your persevered with this challenge because both cards are fabulous. Love that black cat, she sure has it all! The white dots and rhinestone collar are a "purrrfect" accent for her! The embossed background adds that bit of extra detail - love it! The Christmas card makes me smile, so clean and simple, kind of whimsical! So happy to see your post today Leslie, it's always a great way to start my day! Enjoy your day!
I'm so glad you joined this challenge! Both of these are fabulous! I can't decide which is my favorite! I love them both!
Oh Leslie, what a beautiful and fabulous pair of Twofers!! And I'm so happy you dug out that oldie but goody SU star stamp because you created a lovely starry background for your cute images.
The stylish black kitty looks like our little Ivy, the pink Rhine Stone is a fabulous accent, love the pink and black combination and the embossed panel is the perfect way to frame this kitty and awesome sentiment.
Your sweet little Christmas images look so pretty with the bright stars going across the panel and I love how you tilted it and framed it with the light blue card stock. The little white bow is the sweetest detail.
Awesome Twofers, my friend.
XO
Maria.
Both fabulous cards love the sentiment stamps and stars --these forgotten stamps certainly come in handy lol

I love how you used the tiny stars especially in the Xmas card! One never knows what they will find when they start digging into the boxes!! Your cute cat definitely has a personality! Great cards!
both cute cards, Love the cat one. Have a great day
Aaahhh...Two sweet, beautiful and CAS beauties, Leslie. I love all your stamped stars and how you designed 2 very different cards for different occasions using your stars stamp. I think I may still have that little set:-) TFS my friend. Hugs..Nancy
Two fantastic CAS cards Leslie, as always perfect stamping and colouring, love the stars used.
Hugs Pam x
Both cards are fabulous. Of course I love the kitty one the best. :) I really like the star background. That would be good for just about any kind of card.
Leslie, these stars are fantastic on both of your cards! I think I have to CASE your idea with a NBUS star stamp I love, but never used. The stars bring whimsy to both of your designs! I'm crazy about the pink stars with the black - fabulous combination!
Doesn't it feel great to have a goal in mind and then have it work out so perfectly? Your choice of this starry stamp made two sensational cards, Leslie! I love the way you have the colorful Milky Way flowing from your focal panel over into your card base (I'm stealing that design feature!) on your Christmas card, and I'm loving that rebus sediment you used! Your thank you card is definitely going to make someone's day! What a fabulous sediment and it goes so beautifully with your flowing fuchsia stars and that stylin' minx of a cat with all her bling!! Hugs, Darnell
Such darling cards with the spray of stars across them.
These are great Twofers. I just bought a set of stars so hope I can be able to play along again this month.
Two amazing cards love your style and creativity.xx
That's a great use of your star stamp! Love both of your CAS cards.
Leslie, two great cards. I love the Christmas star card, so pretty in the non traditional colours and your cat is such a fun card :)
These are both so playful and whimsical, Leslie ... those little Christmas icons scattered amidst the sentiment on your first card are the perfect complement to that galaxy of bright stars ... and that stylish kitty looks so at home against her pathway of pink ones (especially with that pink collar!) ... and what a brilliant sentiment! Hugs, Anita :)
Love your whimsical cards - of course the cat steals the show in my book ;)
Perfect starry cards, Leslie. That Christmas card is absolutely fabulous! Love the stars stamped on the base and following through onto your panel. Great sentiment with the skate, tree and all. Fun card, and I do hope you make more! The kitty card is super cute! Those stars really pop in that bright pink. Love it! Two wonderful cards. Bev
The star stamp may be an oldie, but it definitely a goodie! Love these two carsd Leslie! So fun and made me smile. The star background with the whimsical Christmas sentiment is awesome. Love the design with the offset panel and bit of twine --- perfect! Your birthday card is fantastic! That cat is an amazing image and perfect paired with your pink stars. I can see she is a glamour girl, to the art deco dry emboss is perfect for the background. xx
You did a fabulous job using your star stamp, I am with you, I think I have more dies in themes then i do in stamps. It goes perfect with each card, love how you went on to the base of the card in the Christmas and your embossed framing goes great with your retro cat, like the touches of pink on her, great sentiment too!
Oh they're wonderful Leslie!! So unique and so eye-catching!
These are awesome! That cat card...SO cute! The cat is perfect for that sentiment.
I LOVE seeing your takes on the Twofer challenge, Leslie! And then you make it even better by pulling this old and loved Stampin' UP! stamp out of your magic hat. And what adorable cards you made with it! Both different and beautifully done all around.
So very creative with the stars!!! These twofer challenges always have me stumped!! I love both but of course the cat one calls to me because of all our kitties here. Great thinking on this one, amazing just by using the different colors it changes everything!!
These are such fun cards. I love how you used the stars on both cards. A happy Christmas card and the black cat with purple stars is so cute.
These are fun and the stars two different ways is great. This challenge scares me. ha ha Not sure I can think of a stamp in two different ways yet. Baby steps with new challenges. :-) Great cards Leslie.
