Double D Challenge: Scare-in' Up Some Pumpkins

Honestly, some cards are just too much fun.  The more I say that, the more I love this craft.  Today I've used a Penny Black stamp which was shared by a friend.  I'm not sure of the name.  I searched, but couldn't find it so I'm thinking it's retired.  I'll just call it "Scaredy Cat", which makes it perfect for our new Double D Challenge -- Scare-in' Up Some Pumpkins.

We're asked to focus on either scarecrows or pumpkins or both.  See our cute mood board below:

And a prize for a random winner:

As always, creative winners are chosen by team vote.  See the Double D blog for all the details.

I Copic colored on Neenah Classic White and decorated with old papers and Halloween trim from my stash.  Added glitter enamel dots, a narrow frame, and an Impression Obsession Grass Border.

Once again, it's a 5" card -- not too big, not too small.

There are some darn cute team samples for this challenge, including plenty of scarecrows.  Have a look, and then share yours.  I'm off to see what fun I can get into next.  Enjoy your day!

Also sharing in these challenges:

The Paper Players Tic-Tac-Toe.  I used the middle row down.

Awesome Halloween card, Leslie! Love the background paper and that row of boo is the perfect touch. The stamp name is "Frightful" and it's from 2002 so I'm sure it's retired. Love what you did with it!!!

Ohh!! What a fabulous and fun Halloween card, the expression on that kitty's face is one of a bit of caution and a bit of fear, LOL!!
Hmm..I think he'll make it to the other side for sure.
Love the Pumpkins faces too and the awesome pattern papers and adorable, ghostly sentiment.
Someone will be thrilled to receive this fun card in the mail.
XO
Maria.

LOL! Look at those mischievous jack-o-lanterns so delighted with themselves at the poor scaredy cat. They could not be happier with themselves, could they? I love the little twinkle in their eyes that you placed there, and the citrusy embellies, too. Every halloweenie card needs black grass, don'tcha think? Fantastic card, Miss Leslie! hugs, de

Fun, fun card. You have some of the cutest stamps ever and of course you color them as carefully and lovely as you color a vase of flowers.

So many fun Fall elements in your not so scary Halloween card, Leslie. You should keep your card for a Fall decoration:-) You are amazing the way you use so many different Designer Papers together. Love your beautifully Copics colored pumpkins and sweet cat. TFS my friend. Hugs..Nancy

I love this card for the fall colors but I love the humor that you put into this too. The pumpkins are smiling and the look on that cat's face is to die for. Great job.

What a fun card. I love that image of the kitty, of course. But your coloring and layout are spot on as usual. Your home looks to be kind of isolated. Do you have trick or treaters?

hee hee That kitty looks very scared. Totally cute! The grass die cut accent is perfect and I do like the pumpkin trio.
