Pretty Potties Sweet and Pink

Hello, friends!  Friday I shared Christmas cards, but today it's back to springtime.  It's a lot like our kooky weather that can't make up its mind.

These are two very simple feel-good cards using a Pretty Potties stamp set by Pink Petticoat.  I think it might have been a magazine freebie in 2013.  Gosh, that's five years ago already.  No matter the age when you're smitten, and I do love these stamps!  There are no sentiments with this set, so I combined both with a Hampton Art sentiment set called "Celebrate Life".

Even though these stamps are five years old, they're new to me, having been received as a birthday gift in late October.  My friend, Cheryl, went to great lengths to find them for me after she saw my adoring comment on Connie's blog where she'd used this set some time ago.  It's quite a web of friendship we stampers have, isn't it?  I'm feeling a lot of love!

These stamps seem to beg for clean and simple, so I gave them a lot of white space, but also worked in a little designer paper.  The first card uses a die cut Palma Curve topper (Poppystamps), and the second card has a deep, double scalloped edge.  The scallops were done with an old Stampin' Up slit punch.

Well, gee, I've had these stamps four months and am just now using them.  Actually, that's not bad for me, considering I've got some not-yet-used stamps that have been sitting MUCH longer.  I'm doing better, really.  No more of this nonsense of letting them sit so long I lose interest in them.  I'm so over that.  Still working on catching up with the not-yet-used stuff, but I'm getting there.  Are you in the same boat?

A full list of supplies can be found below my signature.  I'll be back to visit again Wednesday.  Till then... happy stamping!

Stamps:  Pink Petticoat "Pretty Potties", Hampton Art Kia "Celebrate Life" (sentiments)  Paper:  X-Press It Blending Card, Echo Park Creative Agenda designer paper  Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics for coloring  Accessories:  Stampin' Up! slit punch for scallops, Poppystamps Palma Curve

FABULOUS! Your 'feel good' cards certainly make me feel good today! Both are so springy & beautiful! Love that topper on the first card ... love how it 'umbrellas' over your wheelbarrow of flowers. And the 2nd card did just what it told me to do ... SMILE! Beautiful coloring on these upbeat creations my friend! Thanks!

This is so very gorgeous! A wonderful way of using the die and pattern papers with that stamp image. Everything works together so well.

you have such a unique way of combining your dies and stamps, I love the arch with the swirly vines you created for the first card and the little hear hanging from the top die cut is precious. Of course you have colored everything beautifully.

I can see why you 'hearted' these stamps so much, they are beautiful and made pretty and fun cards! I love stamps like these myself! You created some lovely designs with these, full of Springtime colors. We have wonky weather here too, but sunshine today and I will take that for sure! It is nice to meet other friends thru our card making and blogging, just goes to show there are still good and nice people in our crazy world!

Oh, these are fabulous cards! Light and airy but so colorful and in my favorite light pink, and when paired with yellow it's gorgeous. Your die cuts, pretty papers and stitching are the perfect dress ups. Hope you're finding lots to smile about today, Leslie!

ACK!! oh my Leslie, both of these cards make me smile, so bright and cheerful and they really do speak 'springtime'. Just what I need after our terrible weekend of floods in our city and surrounding towns. Fortunately, I don't live near the river, so my house is dry. Water levels have dropped significantly since Saturday, which is good. Love the layouts for both cards, pretty papers, die cuts and of course your stitching and your eye for finishing details. I'm so glad you decided to use these images today. Thanks for making me smile!

Oh my goodness Leslie, you have done just a fantastic job of coloring these, as I keep saying if I just had a touch of your talent. I love the arch on the first that is so cool and that paper looks like it was made for these stamps. The double scallop along with the stitching on the second is just a great pop of color and great design! LOVE LOVE!!

Such sweet, sweet stamped images. I had to do a double take at the wheelbarrow; it looks very similar to the SU Blooming with Happiness version. (close, but not identical, of course)

These cards are both so pretty and springy. Spring is a-comin' here on the East Coast. Daffodils are shooting up the green stems now that we've had some warmer weather. March is coming in like a lamb this year!

I have some of this stamps as digis.... think I won them a long time ago from a challenge blog... I should use them because they are so pretty and delicate!
Two beautiful cards!

So delicate and pretty, Leslie! I love them both. Very cool the way you did the top of the first one. These stamps remind me of an old Stampin' Up! set that I used (relatively!) recently.

Oh pink how I love thee! *sigh* Leslie, this set might be older, but it still grabs a stampers heart! And might I add I am still mesmerized by your stellar sewing! Your stitches on cards leave me shaking my head in wonderment - seriously. I "sew" appreciate your skill (I had to throw that little pun in - it's Monday *haha*) Clean and simple, white space, but oh sooo pretty with the gorgeous pops of springtime color!

Last night we had another freeze warning! My Lady Banks roses are budding as are the rest of the spring tenders. I hope this is the last of the cold winter weather!
