Row of Houses in Two Seasons

Hi there!  Today is an example of how I get by with a little help from my friends.  I know... another Christmas card in the middle of summer, but I couldn't help it.  This row of houses just begged to be on a Christmas card.  And then Santa came along with the perfect sentiment... I just had to do it.

So how did my friends help me with this?  Well, my friend Sherri sent me the most wonderful package of die cuts.  You wouldn't believe how many and they're all fabulous!  I immediately set to work with this row of houses die cut.

Santa is Power Poppy's Action Santa.  The stamp set has Santa on a moped, too, which is more appropriate with the "zoomin'" sentiment, but I won't worry about that.  He's cute and I love him with the houses and it was such a simple card to make.

Next up is a sunny day in the neighborhood with my first step card which I never would have made if it wasn't for my friend, Lynette, who sent me several pre-cut and scored step card bases.  I had another plan entirely for my first step card, but when I saw this row of houses my plan changed.

It's another simple card, seeing as how Lynette and Sherri did some of the work for me.  I added the Poppystamps Stitched Landscapes and Evergreen Trees and a sentiment on a Die-namics Mix and Match Banner.  The heart is punched.  I made this card for my realtor girlfriend to send to one of her clients.

So, Sherri and Lynette, thank you so much!  You girls are the best and I couldn't have done it without you.  Happy day to everyone!

Awesome dies Leslie, and yes I looked on their on line store but was reluctant to purchase as I have many of the original dies...guess it's ok. Great card and love the Santa.xx[aNNie]

Wow, you are on a roll girl! These are both awesome cards. Love the santa -great idea on how this came together - a perfect holiday card (which reminds me I need to get started!). I've never tried this type of step card before, have seen lots of samples - but you did a wonderful job on this as well. And of course always adding your special details makes these both fabulous! Thanks for starting my day - always makes me happy when I see your posts before heading to work - it makes me want to stay home and make cards. Have a wonderful day!

Aren't crafting buddies the BEST!! What fabulous creations you have designed to showcase your RAK goodies! I'm aware of another 'out of the ordinary site' to obtain dies and I too was amazed since I knew exactly who 'originally' shared that same die as their own a few years back and the price difference is amazing! Glad you're having fun ... looks like Santa is too! These are both fantastic and very inspirational!

How fun and delightful Leslie! Super cute cards! I've been so disappointed to see that some of these unbranded dies that come from China copy exactly the most recent releases of Lawn Fawn, MFT and others. I've always heard they attend craft shows and steal handcraft ideas for ornaments and home decor but to blatantly copy exactly the ppl that are giving us ideas with their dies, jobs and doing all the work is terrible! They ship/mail so cheap because they say they are sending samples. ugh. More of our gov that isn't looking out for us but making trade agreements that benefit China and other countries. I just hope in the long run it doesn't make everything else cost more for the ppl that are keeping things made in the USA and creating jobs here at home.

What a fun, lighthearted set of cards, Leslie! You must have thoroughly enjoyed yourself with this cuties - your fun fold card is FABULOUS! I love the bright cheerful colors, suitable for any time of year - sweet as can be, and the darling Christmas scene with your ski-loving Santa making the rounds at night. Such a great sentiment to go with it. How intriguing to use the same die cuts, and the same colors, changing the window interiors, and coming up with completely different, WONDERFUL scenes! xx

Leslie, I love seeing the dies used in different ways like this, how fun to play with new diecuts, he looks great zoomin into town on his ski's. Love the sparkle you have around him and the deep blue night sky with stars! Great arrangement on the second card with the trees in the center step, that is going to be perfect for your realtor friend!!

I loved this Santa card, and how surprised I was to open an envelope from you yesterday and out it popped! Santa is so much more in real life. I love the sparkley houses die. It really made my day for you to think of me and favor me with this fabulous creation.
