Sunflowers

We do so much on the computer these days, don't we?  Business, correspondence, shopping, managing photos, browsing...  Sometimes I balk at it and get myself into a situation where it piles up on me and then I just have to sit down and catch up.  One of my "catch ups" was to print the digis I've collected and not yet colored, as if I didn't already have a bunch printed and not yet colored, sheesh, but it's sunflower season and I have a hankerin' to color some sunflowers.  This is Sunshine of My Life from Power Poppy.

It's printed on X-Press It Blending Card and colored with the Copics shown.  I cut a decorative border into the lower edge and added twill ribbon and a ribbon flower.  The flower comes as a length of ribbon flowers, all attached -- you've seen the type.  It's very soft and floppy and can hardly be felt when in the envelope.  If you were to peek into the flower center you would see a glittery circle of Cinnamon Stickles.

Off to see what kind of trouble I can get into now.  Catch you later!

Stamps:  Power Poppy Sunshine of My Life digi  Paper:  X-Press It Blending Card, CTMH Autumn Terracotta and Pepperwood  Ink:  Printer, Copics as shown above  Accessories:  Twill ribbon, ribbon flower, Impression Obsession border DIE152-N

JAW DROPPING GORGEOUS! No other words sum this up. Wow Leslie, love it all, from your fabulous colouring - you do amazing things with your copics, the die cut border and then to finish it off with that puffy flower - just gorgeous! Oh and not to mention your colour combination - just stunning for fall! Don't get into too much trouble - lol. Have a wonderful day!

This needs to be framed and hung on the wall ! Nobody can do flowers as beautifully as you do and the amazing thing is that you can do them equally beautifully in any medium . Doesn't matter if you are doing watercolors or colored pencils or markers, they all turn out just gorgeous . Love the pop of color from your flower, and that die in the bottom is gorgeous .

Oh my, Leslie, this is GORGEOUS, and your coloring is amazing! I LOVE it! What a beautiful layout with the wonderful twill and sweetness of a flower (with a Stickled center - ah!). And I love the bottom border. But it's the coloring that captures us all! Hope you've enjoyed the rest of your day! Hugs, sweet friend!

Amazing coloring, Leslie - I love the flowers!! The ribbon is so pretty, too. I don't think I've seen the ribbon that you're talking about. Yep, computer "stuff" can sure pile up! Good job of catching up on it.

Such a rich collection of fall colors! As always, I'm envious of the coloring. :-) As for digis, I have folders of them that I've never printed. I think I still have a couple of Power Poppy ones, too.

Leslie, this may be one of my favorites of your creations, ever. (Well, maybe second to the Partridge in a Pear Tree extra-tall card, that one is hard to beat in my book!) But this, THIS is so warm, yet so bright! How did accomplish this with such a crisp look? You are just that good. Standing ovation from St. Louis!

Pure, Autumnal-Leslie-Style magic! How can your sweet hands even DO that sort of fantastic coloring, Leslie! Your flowers are incredible, and I just stared and your Creation for a long time, breathing in and out, feeling the peace, feeling your joy in putting it all together, and enjoying the loveliness of nature from your heart. Right down to the green shading on the table top, your colors have melted my heart. Thank you, as this will be what I enjoy of Autumn - from the artsiness of my friends! love, de
