Pumpkins and Sunflowers

Hi and welcome to a new week!  It's been a busy time at my house with new furniture followed by new carpet in the living room and, let me tell you, it's a lot for Rich and me to deal with.  We had a little help moving furniture (why is it all so heavy these days?), but we did a lot of it on our own, too.  Finally, we're a little more settled and I can get back to regular crafting!

I have fall supplies on my table and I've been playing with them as time allows.  Today I brought out a previously enjoyed Cottage Cutz Fall Centerpiece set and a not-yet-used Spellbinders Pumpkin Patch 3D embossing folder from an earlier warehouse sale.

I colored all with inks and brushes and put them together on a sanded card base with textured white backing up the centerpiece.  Older sentiments from my stash.  Cinnamon Stickles on the sunflower centers.

I'll be sharing here:

Darnell's NBUS (never before used schtuff) Challenge #79 with my NBUS Pumpkin Patch embossing folder.
Darlene and Diane's Four Seasons Challenge -- October, with a beautiful inspiration board.

I hope to be back here soon and I'll look forward to seeing you.  Take care!

Fabulous Autumn card, love the beautiful sunflowers and embossing folder. Time to chill now and enjoy your new room. I am dreading when we finally get to downsize as never moved house before in 75years lol. When I left home(well climbed out of the living room window when all in bed) and moved in with John and his parents with just my clothes and am still here!!! Well just me and my Daughter now.

I love that embossing folder, they are lovely, but I have to say that the pumpkin die is the highlight of this card. Great shading and lovely yellow flowers with a touch of brown fall leaves. Glad that you got the new furniture and it is all back in order. I agree with you that things are heavier and jars are very hard to open. What is that???

What a stunning autumn card! All the embossing and colors look so pretty! It reminded me when many years ago I would scrap out little pumpkins and fill them with some of our flowers for decoration. I feel for you and Rich. When our daughter and grandkids moved out a few years ago we had new carpeting put down and fortunately the men moved the heavy pieces but we had to put them back. I was a little more mobile then but never again!

Two of my favorites all on one card, Leslie! I love that the pumpkin is serving as a holder for the beautiful sunflower! Love the embossing too and your coloring of it! I hope you can sit down and enjoy your new furniture and carpet.

A beautiful card for fall, reminds me of a flower farm here where they have 'fill a pumpkin', you pick flowers to fill a pumpkin. I too have this die but it is still (after more then a year) in my 'new to be used' basket, what is wrong with me?? Anyhow it is a beautifully created card with the pretty EB folder to match! Thanks too for joining our challenge at The Four Seasons. OH, and I bet the pups will love your new furniture lol, we bought new last fall and I have a bin lid on each piece so Mack will stay off, very attractive, NOT!!

This is stunning, Leslie! We don't really 'do' Fall/Autumn over here in the UK and I really enjoy seeing all the beautiful cards from my friends across the Pond. It's joyous! Jo x

Such a pretty combo of dies and embossing, I love the look of a pumpkin centerpiece with flowers, such a pretty arrangement there, the stickles on the flower centers are so pretty and I love the soft coloring you gave to the embossing!
