I challenged myself to make a pretty card with colors I might use on a Halloween card, but totally NOT a Halloween card. Have a look:
I made a blended background of olive, warm orange, and rich yellow. Stamped the beautiful vining flourish over that in black, then topped it with purple butterflies and a purple band. It's on a purple card base, and the sentiment picks up more of the black.
After I cut and colored the butterfly wings I pressed them into a Versamark pad and embossed with an iridescent embossing powder. Very sparkly and it stays put!
Treat yourself to a peek at the team's samples. Remember, it's anything in Halloween colors. I look forward to seeing what you come up with!
Thank you for your time. Have a beautiful day!

Wow! Your ink blending on this is pure perfection. The black stamping is quite striking, and the purple butterflies add a bit of whimsy to this beautiful card. Just gorgeous, Leslie. Happy birthday to you, my friend.
Oh Leslie this is absolutely GORGEOUS!! I love your beautifully colored background with the foreground stamping ... stunning! And of course that purple butterfly is my FAVORITE! lol
You were over to the top successful in making a card with Halloween colors that is not Halloween card. I love the blending of those colors and then stamping that silhouette over the top. But the best part is the butterflies with the iridescent embossing powder. You even got a good picture of that
Whoa! This is glorious! Love your inky background--the colors are FAB! The silhouette stamp looks marvelous too! And your sweet butterflies and beautiful HB sentiment, love the die cut! And, btw, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Hope today is spectacular and the USPS Gods worked their magic with your card delivery! Enjoy! xo~
When I saw this card in the lineup I was blown away, it is absolutely stunningly beautiful, I can't quit looking at it. Oh and thank you so much for the beautiful birthday card too!!
This is so gorgeous. I love the background and the lavender butterflies really are spectacular with their sparkle. They make the whole layout. Can't leave without wishing you a Happy Birthday!
It sure does have that Halloween feel even though it is not a Halloween card. I love the shading on the background and the butterflies and that shimmer you gave them is so pretty, and stands out even more than sparkle pens.
Leslie, I'm all Halloween'd out, but LOve these gorgeous colors and they are fabulous behind your gorgeous black greenery! It's a birthday card to be cherished!
