Hello again and welcome!
I'm all excited about the Neglected Stuff Challenge, brand new this month. It's another of the umpteen challenges run by our friends, Diane and Darlene. It runs for a month, and all neglected stuff is welcome -- stamps, dies, papers, embellishments, ephemera... endless stuffs -- anything that's been sitting unused for far too long a time.
My thoughts turned first to the many woodblock stamps I've loved enough to keep through multiple purges. The one I chose today goes way back to my earliest days of stamping and it's still one of my favorites. It's been many years since I've used it.
It's a Great Impressions stamp with no name on it. Alongside is a Heartfelt Creations sentiment which was in my spare parts drawer. The patterned paper is 2009 BasicGrey Origins which had only been neglected 2 or 3 years until I pulled it out for my previous post. I have so little of it left that I decided to work on finishing off the pad.
I colored with Copics, created a frame with one of my oldest Spellbinders dies, and embellished with tiny gems.
If I saw this stamp today I would still want to buy it.
I get so intent on using my newest purchases that I skip over some of the best stuff. I use oldies, but they tend to be mostly sentiments, dies, papers. It's not often that the focus is on the oldie. Hoping to change that going forward.
Thanks for visiting with me today! I hope to see you again soon.

What a lovely card you have created! I do love the stamp and the sentiment is one I do not recognize. Your coloring is perfection as always and your finished card just makes me happy!
Adorable!!! Designs like this are timeless and I'm so glad you've pulled it out to give it some love again. The paper goes with this sweet image perfectly, and so great that you're using up an old pad of paper. I should follow suit and pull out some oldies. There just aren't enough hours in the day to do all the things I want to do.
Lovely card and what a great challenge. Funny that challenge should pop up now... I've just raided a box of stuff I put away eons ago to create a piece of art as well. Have a great day
OH NO!! Don't make me go look through those de-stash boxes again, Leslie!! lol
I can see why you continue to love this sweet image - how can one go wrong with bloom-butterflies-AND ladybug??
I am going to dig through my patterned paper stash again - I know I have some Basic Grey I've been hoarding!
Such a sweet card!

I am trying very hard not to buy (much) new stuff so that I am forced to look at my old stuff. It is working a little. I can see why you love this stamp. What a delightful little card and that pp add a touch of drama. Love it xx
So delicate and pretty, Leslie. Way to use those old supplies. I still have just about everything that I've ever owned - haven't gotten rid of much. I do need to use it, though!
That paper and that stamp were meant to! I can't stop smiling at that cute ladybug! This is delightful, Leslie!
Oh Leslie this is such a sweet image and of course your beautiful coloring brought it to life! So glad we have a challenge that inspires you to dig out those oldie but goodie stamps and work your magic on them! Thanks so much for joining in the fun at our Neglected Stuff challenge! Good Luck and we hope you’ll come back often.

What a lovely card especially with that adorable lady bug. What a great challenge. I will have to check out my stash as I'm sure to find something. Happy Valentine's Day!
I do love giving our oldies some use, this is a sweet stamp, pretty flower and I love that little lady bug and butterflies with it!. As soon as I saw this I recognized the basic grey paper :), great pairing with your stamp!
Such a pretty flower stamp, the ladybug looks so cute and I love the font on your sentiment ♥
What a great idea to use those older things that we just can't part with! What a sweet and cheerful, yellow flower! I love that whimsical look with the vertical sentiment and paper that's a perfect match!
