Soft Shamrock

Hi!  I made it back with a single flower for Power Poppy Friday.  Going for a very soft and feminine look, almost a monotone, I used a Power Poppy digi stamp called Shamrock 'n' Roll

I did lighten the image quite a bit before printing, yet the lines were much more visible than they appear in the finished product.  Probably no such Shamrocks exist in nature, but I took liberties with the coloring just so I could coordinate with the papers I'd selected.

I cut the image with the fancy lattice die and then placed an oval die from the same set in the center and traced the inside line to give it additional framing with an out of the box appearance.

Coloring was done with Tombow markers and blender on 140 lb hot press watercolor paper.  Sentiment is from a retired Power Poppy set.  Did you notice the four-leaf clover above the sentiment circle?

For all who may be wondering:  LuLu is being treated for an abscess on her eyeball which the vet believes is due to injury.  I'm still waiting for the improvement I wish to see.  Worried mom that I am, I asked that she be checked for glaucoma.  Results were negative.  We return for a second recheck in another week.  One dog at a time.  Both appear happy and vigorous, so fingers crossed.  Thank you for your kind concern.

Wishing you a beautiful day!

Stamps:  Power Poppy Shamrock 'n' Roll digi, retired Power Poppy sentiment  Paper:  Fabriano Artistico Extra White 140 lb hot press watercolor, SU Sage Shadow and Pink Pirouette, Memory Box Spearmint designer paper (retired)  Ink:  Printer, Sage Shadow  Coloring:  Tombow Markers with homemade blender solution in a blank Copic pen  Dies:  Marianne Designs Anja's Oval, Taylored Expressions Stitched Rectangle Stacklets, Spellbinders circle dies  Other:  Pink gems, SU Subtle embossing folder for card base

Oh wow, this is really really pretty!! I love the die you have used and the soft colors! I am so happy to hear the 'pups' are doing okay, I swear we worry about them as much as our kids!! BTW, enabler alert, the stencil and the die are in stock and available at scrapbookdotcom, I just ordered a new set from them today, so addicting and so fun! If you like Pinkfresh Studio then check out The Greetery, also a favorite of mine!!

This is absolutely beautiful! The shamrock colors though unique, are quite fabulous! Love your design ... really gorgeous and just POPS off the page! Well done my friend! Thanks for stopping by my blog and yes, I feel I'm getting better with the CAS design ... I'll keep trying though.
So sorry that LuLu is dealing with this but sounds like Wally is helping to keep the fun & games going as a distraction! LOL Praying it heals quickly and your next appointment is positive.
Hugs

LOVE your green and pink shamrocks, Leslie. They are so pretty, especially over the gorgeous intricate oval framing. The sentiment is so perfect with the "O" happy day. Perfect for an Irish design. :)

Hope LuLu shows more improvement for your soon. It's so scary when our babies are not well and they can't tell us how they feel. Sending healing thoughts to LuLu! xx

Leslie, in our craft rooms, we can create green and pink shamrocks, of course!! There's no limit to our imaginations, like the fabulous Bob Ross used to say, "...in our world..."
Beautifully done, my friend, that die-cut frame is so dreamy and your papers fabulous.
I pray your sweet Lulu will improve soon, the fact that she still a rambunctious little pup is a great sign.
Sending lots of healing ~~~~~ for her, please keep us posted.
Stay healthy and safe.
XO
Maria.

I like your color-adjusted shamrocks! The card is so elaborate...not fussy, but beautifully elaborate: the detail on the oval die cut is gorgeous, and you've accented it so well with the little circle and pink pearls. It's actually a perfect card, Leslie!

Your shades of grey and white really make the shamrocks and pink flowr POP, Leslie! It's a gorgeous card! I'm sorry I've been unable to be online much so I'm very out of the loop and sad to hear that your beloved pups are having some distress. I pray that all is well soon and worried mom can return to contended mom! Love and hugs, Darnell

First, since I'm so late with my comment that Lulu's eye has shown improvement! Appreciate knowing how she is doing. As for the card, I think your color combo is gorgeous, and the clover is lucky in whatever color, right? The happy bouquet makes a beautiful card, especially with your coloring and special details. LOVE that filigree die, and the EF gives a great texture. The pink gems = perfection!

This card is even more gorgeous in person, Leslie! Thank you SO, so much for sending this to me. <3 You definitely brightened my birthday. My 19 YO daughter was really taken with your coloring of the shamrocks. And that white oval die = WOW. Really beautiful, and I'm glad to see you listed it in your supplies (Marianne Designs Anja's Oval). It's stunning on its own.

Hope you are doing well in your little corner of the world. Time sure is flying by, isn't it?
