Playing along with Mojo Monday Sketch

I was so happy to see the return of the Mojo Monday sketch challenge which is now every other Monday on Julee's own beautiful blog.  The current challenge is here.  There's nothing clean and simple about my card, but it was relatively quick to make because I had the sketch and stamp all picked out.  Loving on an old Plum Purdy today.

Pictured below is the sketch I used.

I followed the sketch closely, with only minor adjustments to make everything fit.  I cut out the Copic colored image so it could overlap the circle, rather than making a larger circle.  Extra sunflowers colored and cut from two additional images, with die cut leaves added.

Burlap paper, ribbon trim, an embossed card base barely peeking out from behind... these are a few of my favorite things about card crafting.  Designer paper, coloring, die cuts, sigh...  a room full of goodies.  Don't you just love stamping?

I will be back tomorrow with something new from Power Poppy.  I've had it colored quite a while and waiting to share.  Otherwise... despite circumstances, I'm pretty sure I'll make time for stamping.  Can't stay away, so hoping I'll see you next week.  Take care, and have a happy day!

This is a great take on the sketch, Leslie! I love burlap on a card and it's the perfect time of the year for it, so thanks for the forehead slap reminder that I have quite a lot of it in a drawer!! Also, thanks for the info on Mojo Monday returning! I missed the announcement somewhere. I'll add it back to my challenge list! ❤Hugs, Darnell

You followed the sketch carefully, but made the design your own, my fried. I Love all your beautiful Fall and textured elements and Fall colors, Leslie. No sentiment, so your card could be used for different needed occasions. TFS and Happy Fall. Our leaves are still falling, so still have beautiful Fall colors in the trees and on the ground:-) Hugs..Nancy

This is such a fun sketch and you did such a great job with it! I love the burlap especially with the sunflowers and the bird on top of the pumpkin! Today they have such beautiful DSP that you can chose from which adds to the final card! We are suppose to get 5-8" of snow tomorrow so I'm hoping for more craft time!

One of my favorite things on this card is the polka dot circle behind the image, it just sets if of so perfectly and a great image it is. I love coming here as you always seem to inspire me!!

So adorable Leslie! A great take on the sketch. Love all the textures- embossed background, burlap, die cutting, leaf border and the lovely fall papers and of course your awesome colouring. I like the little twig in the birds mouth as well. I really need to do sketch layouts more often. Fabulous card, and sorry for commenting so late on your post. Have a good evening.

Sigh. A room full of goodies. And LOOK what you do with them! I LOVE the burlap layer, the ribbon trim - is it the leaves across the bottom? So many elements woven in to a fabulous card. And I am studying how you interpreted the sketch. Beautiful!

This is darling, Leslie! Again, amazing details colored to perfection. The coloring is so intense that the featured pieces look like enamel! The burlap works perfectly with the trim of fall leaves.

I too am glad Mojo Monday has retunred and still hope to get one posted for this sketch (at the 11th hour no doubt, life has interfered with my blog posting ha ha). A room full of craft goodies is indeed a gift, so glad you use yours to share with us!
