Teapot Border

Hello again!  Just one card today.  I started this one before vacation and finished it when we returned home.  Its whole reason for being was so I could use the pretty new die I received as a gift from a very sweet friend.  Not sure what it's called.  I think it's one of the unbranded dies.  Whatever, I have a weakness for all things swirly.

I cut it in such a way that it makes an intact flap on the card front, but it could be cut as a separate border, too.  Embossed using the tan mat after cutting, I touched up the embossed parts with a Copic BG0000 marker, which helped bring out the white on white pattern.

The cute Stampendous Teapot Border has survived many purges because I still adore it after all these years.  The swirls in both the stamp and the die cut look like they were made for each other, and the Power Poppy sentiment fit perfectly.  Polka dot hearts in matching colors add a little love to the design.

Vacations are wonderful, but I sure get to missing my stamp room.  I'm having fun now!  I'll be back Friday with flowers.  Hugs to all!

I love the contrast between the white swirly textured border and the beautiful and colorful teapots. Fun using an old loved stamp set in a new trendy design. TFS Leslie. Hugs...

Wonderful card, Leslie. If you ever tire of that great teapot stamp, I'll be more than happy to buy it from you. Hard to find good tea things - more coffee drinkers than tea drinkers I guess. Keep them coming!

That is a cute stamp...I like the swirls..so pretty. One of my goals this winter is to get out some of my dies that I just love and use them again. I have a swirl that I really like. After seeing your card I think I will dig my swirl out NOW instead of winter!

Just darling! I'm not sure how you did the die edge .... I need to read up on embossing with dies, I guess. Anyway, I can see why you keep the teapots; they are so cute. And your coloring.... I've run out of adjectives. :-)
