Pumpkin Spice is Nice

Just a simple, but colorful fall card today.  After a few beautiful days there's a chill in the air that's making it sound mighty nice to wrap my hands around a warm cup of brew, whether coffee, tea, cocoa, or a pumpkin spice latte.

I've used another of my Verve Coffee Please digital stamp creations, and this time I stretched it a bit larger and watercolored with Gansai Tambi paints on Arches 140 lb hot pressed watercolor paper.  There's nothing more than a border of patterned paper and some stitching to dress it up, and it's ready to mail for a November birthday.

I've been busy making Christmas cards when I have a chance, but then I turned right around and started a wedding card project, so my room is a mess and it's making me crazy.  Hopefully I'll finish something today and clean up.  Have a happy day!

Yummy, Leslie! The highlights in your coloring melt my heart! I can smell the pumpkin spice, and imagine a sunny morning or mid afternoon, time spent with friends, and the joy of quiet times or outright friendly laughter. Your card says all of that to me. I especially love the two types of stitching and the colorful border on the side. Have a great day! xx

Great card Leslie. I like the stripe of pattern paper down the side and the stitching is subtle yet adds a wonderful touch. Cheers.

Oh my, how I love your fall card! I'm so into 'coffee cards' lately, and I must say this is so far my favourite! Gorgeous water colouring, (love the colours), the stripped dp down the side is perfect, and love that you enlarged this to fit the front of your card. Another fabulous creation Leslie! WOW!!!

Awesome coloring, I especially love how you did the cup, I love the strip with the stitching. I have heard that watercolor paper is the best to use, I may have to order some for Christmas :) I really need to get to more Christmas cards, I am having a heck of a time just keeping up with the birthday cards.

This is larger than life and looks great! I love your shading and the perky stitching. Hope you got your craft space cleaned up.
I have to tell you that the last card you posted with this set was so lovely it prompted me to buy the DIGI set and CASE immediately!

Haha! Me again, I saw this one and LOVE it! I just love pumpkins (we don't use real ones since they rot too quickly, and I especially love making cards with them). And I love this digi enlarged and beautifully colored with a great design! Hugs!
