Christmas in January 2019

Hello, friends!  I know you're all busily working on your Christmas cards.  Wait... what?  Well, neither am I, but I do plan to be further ahead this year come December.  There was simply too much last minute in 2018.  I may not do a Christmas post every month, but I hope to do batches of the same stamp set or vendor.  I'll start with the two Christmas digis I picked up last year at All Dressed Up.

The first is Christmas Deer.  She's such a pretty thing, I couldn't resist.  Colored with Copics, framed with dreamy paper and elliptical circles.  Vellum poinsettias and Nuvo drops for trim.

(Our Daily Bread Designs Beautiful Blooms paper, Memory Box Seraphine Laurel and Peace Cheshire Script)

The second card is Christmas Robins, also colored with Copics.  This one has some Wink of Stella and Stickles sparkle, plus glitter paper under the border.  I made two cards with this image, but only photographed one.

(Spellbinders A2 Bracket Borders One, Sizzix Primitive Stars)

Keeping it quick today, just sticking to my commitment.  It's hard to start a Christmas card this time of year, but once you're over that hurdle it's all about the fun.  Now... back to anything but Christmas.  Have a happy day!

I love both of the Christmas cards you have made. Two different designs but both so wonderful. I especially love that darling deer. What a cutie! I want to get back to them soon as well as it worked out great to have several made up ahead of time.

Leslie, you have two completely different styles, and yet, both have stolen my heart! I've never seen anything like your fawn - such a sweetness, and I am in awe of the way you colored her little floral wreath! Your chirping robins are sweet, too. Don't you love those little inverted hearts for their wings? Beautiful die cut. hoping you are enjoying a great week! hugs, de

What a nice way to start making next year's Xmas cards! I love the little deer with the wreath around her head and the vellum flowers! So delicate! And then to the second card, so opposite with the cute birds singing cheerfully spreading their Christmas cheer! Great start! I hope it will rub off on me! LOL!

Your birds are too cute, love those hats and carrying the banner. Love how you did the border with it!
I am in the middle of working on some christmas cards myself, I was still too rushed this past Christmas so I really need to have more done ahead of time!

I just realized that I didn't think the deer was part of this post! It's a darling Christmas card...loaded with beautiful details. (I was really in the mood to make Christmas cards after Christmas, but the mood has gone away! Maybe when we've been home awhile, I'll get back in the mood!)

Now now... I have said it before, Christmas cards all year is just fine with me. I think its great you are trying to do some each month, see one month is already done. You can even count the second one for Feb worse case scenario. :-) HA HA!!! Okay for the cards they are darling. That deer is super sweet and the soft coloring of the pink paper is wonderful. Those birds are too cute, and I adore the die cut edge!

I'm so with you! I made the same promise to myself. And your post has inspired me to follow through. I love the soft face of this Doe. The use of vellum and the pointillism technique is prefect to frame her. All your elements speak peace.

Crafting whimsical cards is a talent your have been gifted with. I love the color and sparkle your give them and this one is no exception. Thank you for all the inspiration, Leslie!
