So Nuts

I probably don't even have to mention how much fun I had making today's card.  Some stamps just make you smile all over while you're using them.  This is Whimsy Stamps "So Nuts About Home".  Put it together with some woodsy paper and dies and a fun frame and this is how it turned out.

I watercolored this one with my Gansai Tambi paints.  I painted the die cut leaves, too, but the mushroom tops and the frame were colored with Copics.  Dotted the frame with a gold Sakura Gelly Roll pen.

My stamp room is a disaster with the purging and reorganizing in progress, but I simply had to take time to color and create.  Now I can plunge back into the mess...  Have a fantastic day!

Funny little squirrel with his mouth so full, yep he just has to make you smile..lol!! Those little mushrooms are so cute, too (another die I don't have)...what a fun card for fall!! I need to 'purge' too, but I just can't seem to get rid of any of it, and also just keep adding more to it (I have a DRU order on it's way to me now)...oh back to the squirrel (that's how my mind works..crazy) I have been seeing lots of squirrels gathering walnuts here and keep hearing what a bad winter this one will be, so I think these little guys might have heard the same thing...hah!

I think this little squirrel is adorable. I have a few living in an Oak tree in my yard and they are always having so much fun! They make Bella crazy! It's always nice to clear out your stamp room from time to time. I do it every now and then and send supplies to the nursing home for their craft hour!

O-M-G!! This is just toooooooo cute! Great coloring (no surprise there) and the design is such a wonderful work of art! YEP ... made me smile instantly too! Great job and awesome inspiration! In reference to your comment on the wedding card on my blog ... yes the wedding was very elaborate (Pittsburgh Country Club) and the colors of my card matched the beautiful bridesmaid dresses perfectly! Whew! In fact I got a text yesterday from my nephew thanking me for the amazing handmade card and said they had it sitting on the mantel and his new wife just keeps looking at the detail ... LOL! Have an awesome weekend my friend! The temps here are to be splendid!

Oh, Leslie, what a giggle! I can see why you had SO much fun coloring this image and making this amazing card! It makes me smile just seeing that face - hehe! You KNOW that little squirrel has stuffed his (and I do mean his, cuz the guys more often overeat, right?) face full of those nuts! You have mastered the new paints, and I absolutely adore your coloring. And the frame with the leaves and mushrooms are wonderful! What fun! And oh, what fun you are having with purging and weeding. I have done some but still need to do a LOT more! Have a wonderful weekend, sweet friend, and it's good you stopped to make this card. It's what makes us extra happy, right? Hugs! xoxo

so cute. I'm not really in to cute animals, but I just picked up a Sheena Douglas stamp set "Little acorn" with a really cute squirrel stamp. As if I needed more stamps. Have a great day

A very happy card Leslie! Darling, cute critter! I just wish we didn't have so many of them burying their treasures in our yard! A nuisance. But so happy they can be so fun for coloring! Your die cut embellishing details are perfect for your delightful coloring! If I ran into this cute critter, I'd give him my acorns too! lol
