Hi there! This card has been sitting around for two months waiting for me to post it, so I think it's probably about time. I made it for no reason other than the love of the craft and all these beautiful supplies in my toybox. The Altenew Loving Birds 3D embossing folder was a new-to-me gift from a friend when I made the shabby chic card in this post. I just kept right on playing with it.
The embossing was done on retired (probably) Stampin' Up Lavender Lace cardstock, then smooshed with white pigment ink directly from pad to paper. I cut the embossed panel down to a corner featuring just one bird and some flowers. It worked out nicely! The background panel was brushed with gray ink then covered with paper lace -- a very old product from an out of business company. I added die cut Memory Box flowers brushed with SU Lavender Lace ink, and a stamped and die cut sentiment from a Simon Says Stamp set.
No challenges today, not even NBUS. Wishing you a beautiful day!

How sweet this card is Leslie! I love the soft look of the white ink rubbed over the pretty lilac colored cardstock. Your fussy cutting skills are out of this world.
Pretty delicate card. Love the upper right flowers. I think I have that die… I think I need to play. Big Grin… Have a great day
Oh how I miss all the purple inks that SU! used to sell...Lovely Lilac, Almost Amethyst & Lavender Lace, so thanks for the trip down memory lane Leslie! I love how you cut down the embossed panel with the bird and set it against the gray...sooooo striking and pretty! Lovely, lovely card my friend!! Hugs. :0)
Gorgeous. I always loved Lavender Lace, but I'm a die hard purple lover in any hues. It's fun to make a card just because.
Oh my that is just lovely, I so love how you used a portion of the embossing folder for the corner and the small flowery background is so lovely with it, I like how you carried the lavender up to the die cut flowers to balance it off, wonderful!
Absolutely gorgeous card, love the beautiful embossing folder and die-cut flowers.

Lavender and gray? YES PLEASE! And OH, did that combination come together beautifully on your card, Leslie! Such a sweet little bird and blooms for sending a note to a friend!

Leslie, what a lovely combination of elements on this card. The lavender and purple are lovely together as are your embossed areas.
So beautiful, Leslie! And how fun to create just for the joy of it.
Beautifully done Leslie! I too have this EF and don't use it nearly often enough! But, with your clever design you've inspired me to blow the dust off it and bring it back from the dead lol. Very creative and beautiful! Happy Day my friend ... hope the sun is shining on you today!!
It's always fun to just create with what's at hand. So relaxing and your play created a beauty! The bird is so serene and I always loved that lavender color. The flowers with a bit of the lavender finishes the corner design beautifully!
A beautiful day and a very beautiful card, Leslie! The embossed bird is stunning and looks so pretty in lavender and nestled in the corner. The softness of the background is lovely.
Springtime in a lilac card! This is so pretty, Leslie! I'm loving that you made this dimensional work of art with only embossing folders and ink! (Not counting the sediment.) It's so tactile and I love the movement, too! Hugs, Darnell
Beautiful layering and I love the effect of the white on the lavender card stock. I need to pullout some of my 3d folders and do some swiping with white ❤️
Sorry I haven't been around recently, I just got back from a trip to the UK to visit family and friends.
So very gorgeous, what a beautiful design this is, I think you have more creativeness in your little finger then I do in my entire body!!
Just lovely Leslie! Fabulous designing!
