CAS Mix Up Reminder: Paper Piecing

Hi, there!  More paper piecing today as a reminder for our CAS Mix Up challenge.  Our host, Linda, chose this theme for the mixed media leg of the challenge, so must remember to include stamping and at least one other media element.  Along with my paper piecing I have stamping, coloring, die cutting, wet embossing.  It's hard to make a card without mixed media!

This time I got a few more Christmas cards made while the sun shines.  I've used a Penny Black Cup of Joy mini-stamp set.  The cup is paper pieced and the rest is colored with Tombow markers and blender.  I embossed with black EP so the outline would show up nicely on the patterned paper.  Great opportunity to use some PP scraps!

It's such a cheerful and cute little stamp which a very nice friend gifted it to me a while back (thanks, friend!).  I started by stamping and embossing the image on Neenah white cardstock, then stamped twice more -- once on patterned paper and once on watercolor paper.  Cut out the latter parts and layered the goodies with the melting whipped cream over top of the patterned cup.  Put it all together and then applied white dimensional product to the whipped cream (see recipe).  It sounds like a lot, but it was a fairly simple assembly line project.

Three more below.  I did chocolate and pink marshmallows.

I love what I'm seeing in the players' gallery so far.  I hope you'll enjoy them, too, and take a look at the team's inspiration.  Such a fun challenge!

See you again soon, and until then I'm wishing you a beautiful day!
