It's a Beautiful Day

I've wanted to color this digital stamp forever and it finally happened.  My particular version is watercolored and I totally made up how the orchids should be colored, but for all I know there may be orchids exactly like this.  Honestly, coloring is a lot easier when you make it up as you go along.

The stamp is a Power Poppy digital -- Perched in the Orchids -- and, yes, it's on sale right now.
Sentiment is from the retired and sold out (sad face) -- Best Day Ever.
Watercolor was done with a combination of Gansai Tambi paints and Tombow dual brush markers.




Seriously, I had to use this sentiment.




Inside is quickly finished with another sentiment from the retired set plus a stamp from the clear set -- Orchids Rock.  Love that set and its sentiments.

    Gorgeous tropical colors surely to brighten anyone's day. The orchards are beautifully colored and I have seen them in LOTS of different colors, love the pretty colors of the birds too...definitely a card to make anyone happy to receive! I did go to the sale and have a small order coming, all thanks to YOU lol!! I have a lot of Marcella's stamps from her early days with Flourishes, and I love each and every one of them!!

    Wow! Gorgeous indeed! Leslie your watercolouring just flows so perfectly, no hard water lines, which for me seems hard to do. Love the richness and vibrancy of the colours. Beautiful colouring on the orchids, nice tones and love the little speckles on the centers. I agree, your sentiment on the front is a perfect fit! Always love how you finish your insides as well. Thanks so much for sharing today, you made my day! Ran out early this morning just as stores were opening, to run a couple of errands and groceries. Now in for the next week or 2.     You rocked this! What a gorgeous floral and bird design and the colors are off the wall beautiful! I wish I could do half as well coloring but for some reason I am not very great at watercoloring. I guess I will have to try and do more and maybe practice will improve things for me one day too. But keep inspiring me!

    WOW! Absolutely stunning, Leslie. Those orchids are perfect. And I do believe those little birds are Sun Conures. (not sure if I spelled that right).     Wow look at that Awesome creation, your watercoloring is outstanding, just screams spring!! I say it is fun to color the way you want it to be, that's what I decided to stamp my lilies all different colors :) That sentiment is great for this that's for sure!

    What a wonderful way of brightening someone's day, and making them feel extra special, Leslie! That sentiment is absolute excellence with your beautifully colored birds! And the fantasy orchids look like they should! My favorite thing is to color flowers, birds and butterflies in make-believe colors. Leslie, you could likely set a brush in mud and bring out a masterpiece with your special talents. Isn't this creation so exquisitely graceful?
