Hi, there! We have another Double D challenge for you today -- Flower Pots. Look at the pretty inspiration board below. I love it!
A cool prize will be awarded to a random winner. Creative favorites are voted on by the team.
I was tempted to stamp an oldie for this one, but the NBUS baskets are reaching critical mass and progress must be made so I can file away some of these stamps, dies, and embossing folders. I'm embarrassed to say how many not-yet-used Penny Black stamps I have. Many of them were oldies when I bought them, but today's Perch stamp is from this year.
It's rather large for an A2 card, I think, but I'll have another go at it soon and try something different. I watercolored with Gansai Tambi paints, Stampin' Up inks, and Tombow markers. It's a crazy mix, but I couldn't seem to get happy with any single medium.
I'm off to see what kind of trouble I can get into elsewhere now, but first I would like to encourage you to check out the team's cards at Double D. They have some very pretty flower pot cards!
Thank you for visiting today!
LOVE this! Such a lovely and a bit rustic image! Beautiful water coloring! (don't tell our teamies but this may be my favorite one!) ;) It's just darlin' Critical Mass hahahaha
ReplyDeleteWow, this is beautiful and colored to perfection!! The cutest image with an adorable birdie, another gorgeous card!! I too have lots of new things to use I am trying to dwindle down but I just keep adding more!
ReplyDeleteOh I love that flower pot. I think I have to draw that today... such a pretty card. Have a great day
ReplyDeleteYour "crazy mix of mediums" worked beautifully on your delightful card Leslie! That little birdie perched on the pot looks like he's singing a joyful song and totally enjoying himself in the garden, and your blooms just couldn't be any prettier! Sweet, sweet card my friend!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! That little bird looks quite pleased with the flower he rescued. Your mix of medium worked well on this design and I can't imagine that it wouldn't. Lovely colors. I think most of us are guilty of having a "critical mass" of NBU craft supplies. I know I do and have made an effort to use more of what I have. However, I just placed a large order yesterday for more...wink*, wink*!
ReplyDeletePretty, pretty and such a great combination of mediums! Beautiful card.
ReplyDeleteLeslie, while I have that little beauty on my wish list, I'm just tickled pink to see it in your very talented hands! I LOve your pansies!

This is a perfect pot, Leslie! Your coloring is always spot on and this is no exception! I look forward to seeing more of this pot and sweet bird!
ReplyDeleteLeslie, its not too big for the A2 card. Love it. So bold and beautiful. Its just grabs one and doesn't let go. IT's in my top 5 of your cards for sure.
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet card, your little bird is just so dear. I love our coloring, it's amazing. You never disappoint, my dear, and this creation is no exception!!
ReplyDeleteI would say you did a beautiful job combining all the different mediums to color your card. Nice that you were able to use something from your NBUS basket., I love the combo of the sweet birdie with the beautiful flowers, awesome!
ReplyDeletePretty card, pretty flowers and cute little birdie too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful image you used. Your coloring blend worked splendidly! This is truly gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card with your little bird sitting on the plant with such a cute flower. Love how you combined the different mediums! Looks like a pretty pansy!! Have a great 4th of July!
ReplyDeleteThis card beautifully conjures up a summer garden for me. My garden is full of pots and many sparrows. You have coloured it brilliantly xx
ReplyDeleteThat stamp is amazing and I like it a lot. You should use it more often...I think.
ReplyDeleteLia xx
I left a comment, but I don't see it here, so doing it again. This card is too sweet not to tell you what I think/feel. I am so glad that you used this stamp as it gives a different view of a flower pot. That sparrow on the top of the spilled pot is colored so perfectly as well as the rest of the images. Sometimes, I see these displayed in a yard and I love them there too. Also I want to thank you for the lovely comments on my blog. I sure appreciated them.
ReplyDeleteYour mix of mediums gave a beautiful result! I have my eyes on this stamp too, love what you've done with it! I think the layout is ingenious and gives a chance for the lovely woodgrain addition. Oh, and the pansies - they make me smile!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty little bird she is! I'm smitten with those pretty pansies too. Another marvelous card, my friend!
