Double D Challenge: Snow

It's Double D Challenge time again, friends!  There's a lot of snow happening in the colder regions, so we're going to try to have a little fun with that theme for our challenge.  The inspiration board has a few ideas for you to consider:

I love that car!  Someone was very clever.  However, I just happened to have a never-been-used steal-of-a-deal die set from Cottage Cutz so I went with that.  The sentiment and two bears are part of the set.  I  added a little extra holiday color and made a cute card for Christmas 2023.

I pulled a plain white frame from my spare parts drawer and wrapped it with designer paper.  There's starry paper for the sky and some colorful snowflakes by Impression Obsession.  The "i" dot is a little star that popped out of one of the snowflakes.  I cut all dies in 110 lb white, glued two layers together, then colored with Copics.  It was a lot of fun!  I've really been enjoying my dies lately.

We'll have creative winners plus a random winner of the prize pictured below.  Get a better look at it on the Double D blog.

The team has great samples to inspire you, and we'd love to see yours as well.  Have a happy day!

Paper:  Neenah Classic Crest Super Smooth Solar White 110 lb, red Bazzill cardstock, Moda Scrap Forever Green designer paper  Ink:  Copic markers for coloring die cuts  Other:  Cottage Cutz Happy Holidays Polar Bear, frame from spare parts drawer, Stardust Stickles glitter glue

  9. Hi Leslie just sen your comment on my blog when I said it was stencil waste-after I used the stencil instead of wiping it clean I pressed onto a piece of cards so probably reverse stencil? lol

  12. Leslie, I don't know how your card could be any cuter!! That scripty sentiment, the starry sky, RED snowflakes -imagine shoveling THAT lol - but the true stars of the show are your little bears. I think papa's expression reads like he's had just about as many trips down those snowy hills as can handle for the season!! I absolutely remember how that feels!
I have a certain bear that hasn't had any playtime of any kind in ages - perhaps this is his chance?

I'm thinking these polar bears need to make a visit to my house. ;0) Love the sweet simple color scheme you used too. The ivory background sets the white off so nicely. Beautiful as always Leslie!!

  21. I always admire how people can adhere those very delicate die cuts, like your sentiment here. Leslie, this is DARLING with the inky polar bears, seasonally-colorful snowflakes, and cute "starry" background. Isn't it fun using our NBUS stuff? I always feel "extra happy" with those creations. I love your close-ups and how-to's in your bloggie explanations, Leslie. Thank you for sharing!
