Zinnias in Vases

One last card this week, friends.  Fridays are for Power Poppy so I have some of Marcella's digital flowers today.  Zinnia Parade is a perky and fun set for happy coloring and I thought this one would be good for a CAS card.

I was really feeling the white space at the time.  Just a bit of polka dot designer paper 'cause that's one of my favorite things, and a sentiment from one of Power Poppy's clear stamp sets -- Vibrant Thanks.  Oh, I did a little stitching up the side, too.  Coloring was done with Copics.

Check out these beautiful cards, too:

I hope you have a nice weekend, whether you're staying home or getting out and about.  Whatever your plans, be safe and alert, please!  Thank you so much for your time.

  5. Beautifully colored, Leslie. I get that velvety feel from your darkest one and the bright beautiful lightness on the other two. Leaving some color off the petals really enhances it all. Fabulous.

  7. LOVE the stitching every time you do it! Why don't I ever do that? Zinnias are my favorite flower, Leslie. Gorgeous choice of colors, they look so beautiful as if I could touch them. The softly colored mat and polka dots set them off brilliantly.

  9. When I saw your card it reminded me of my Dad! When we got our first house, he would come every year and plant marigolds and zinnias for us around our little bird bath. I love your coloring and of course your stitching. Thanks for the memory! Stay safe!

  19. One summer I actually grew zinnias from seed...."hot" colors of zinnias that I had seen in an old Portland cemetery the year before. :-) I haven't been able to raise them since... but I keep trying. The zinnias on your card are so realistic, and all that white space just accents their vibrant colors.

  22. So pretty! I love the image off to the side. And of course, I love the white space. The dotted paper is just perfect. Two pieces of pink dotted paper just showed up on my table. I think I should use them just like this. :)
