Just Saying Hello

A happy hello today!  Playing with one of my newest Cottage Cutz dies called Telephone.  It comes with the phone, the speech bubble, and the "hello".  Not too many small parts and very fun, for sure!

All parts were cut at once in white and colored with Copics.  I thought this paper looked a little bit like flowery wallpaper.  It's some pretty Mintay from the Together collection.  The speech bubble is popped up and the "hello" is two layers.  Memo is part of the Mintay collection.  I borrowed a bird from a Spellbinders set.

It took some time to put the parts together, but no special skills required and I'm feeling pretty okay with that.  Just going with what feels right at the time.  You all take care and I hope you aren't going stir crazy yet.  I never run out of things to do so still okay here.  Hugs all around!

  2. What a fabulous card, Leslie! I LOVE the stitching on it - doesn't seem like I've seen much of that lately and I miss it! :) Great dies, for sure, and your "wallpaper" is perfect for the rotary dial phone. Glad you're keeping busy - I am, too. Still not enough time in the day!

  3. Super cute and fun card with the phone and cleverly designed!! I am ready for the next cottage cutz sale, how about you, I have 2 sitting on my desk just waiting their turn!! The one you would like as it doesn't have many pieces, but it's for a DT so won't show up for awhile unless I make another, maybe, just maybe!

  4. This is gorgeous! I love that background paper. Flowers always draw me in. Love the color combo too and what a great set. I can see it being used for many things. Keep up the good work. School starts here again today so I'll be busy with that for awhile.

  6. Oh Leslie, what a sweetheart of a phone!!! Believe it or not, I have fond memories of the days where the only phone we had was one of these rotary ones, when it rang, all of us kids rushed to answer it, LOL!! We really didn't have much privacy either, phone calls from boyfriends or girlfriends were weird and awkward.
Love your beautiful pattern papers, the flower one is divine.
I tell my daughters and grandkids that I rather they give me a phone call than a text message, I'm not a text message fan, LOL!!
Awesome and sweet card, thank you for sharing.

PS. Hope all is well with you, my dear.

  10. My favorite thing about this whole card is the stitched white panel with the scallop along the top. Looks like curtains to me! You always choose elements for your cards that are well thought out and then arranged so that they look like they belong together. You nailed it with this one, Leslie. I love it!

That is too cute, I love the way you colored the phone to go with that pretty paper, it does look like pretty wall paper, Like your little scene you have made, this is a great set to just let someone know you are thinking of them, that little memo piece with the bird is such a cute touch, this is sure to brighten someone's day!! Glad you are doing well, I am ok with it all too, until there is something I need or want and know the hassle to get it, but all is good.
