One for Christmas

I just realized today is Halloween.  You'd think I might share a Halloween card, but I'm fresh out of those and moving along through the remainder of fall and onward to Christmas.  Today it's Power Poppy's Wreath:  Felt Leaves and Fruits digital stamp.

A little heavy on the design today.  Honestly, this started out as clean and simple, but I wasn't happy with it, so it grew layer by layer, die cut by die cut, until I ended up with the card you see here.  It can be mailed in an envelope, but will require extra postage, tsk tsk.

I Copic-colored the wreath in softer hues of blue-green, pink, and gray.  Added Stickles glitter and three tiny crystals.  I'll list ingredients below my signature, and that will probably explain how everything was layered and put together.

Back to it now!  Lots more coloring and card designing needs doing.  Happy Halloween!

Stamps:  Power Poppy Wreath: Felt Leaves and Fruit digital stamp  Paper:  X-Press It Blending Card, SU Soft Sky, silver-white glitter card stock, Mintay Christmas Stories designer paper  Ink:  Printer, Copics for coloring  Accessories:  Crystals, Stickles Stardust glitter glue  Dies:  Memory Box Stitched Circle Layers, Spellbinders Basic Lattice, Cottage Cutz Fall Vine, Poppystamps Prim and Proper Bow

  2. Ack! Leslie this is gorgeous! I do not think this is a heavy design at all. Your layering has so much detail, I squealed when I saw this. The copic colours are very pretty paired up with the soft blue papers. Your glittery die cuts just add that extra and pull everything together. I wouldn't change a thing on this! Thanks for sharing today, a great way to start my day. I love when you create! Have a fabulous day, Happy Halloween!

Just love this darling wreath (one of my favorites and one that I almost went with today as I am working on a Christmas card). What a gorgeous color combination, and I love the DP you've used. 16. I know what you mean with a CAS card loosing it's CASness over the evolution of the card :) this one was worth it. I love the beautiful colour and all those wonderful die cuts :)

  18. Layer upon layer of gorgeousness!! Soft, dreamy...beautiful...and the colors are amazing! Wouldn't it be fun to have a real wreath just like this one? I have a plain 'cotton' one over my fireplace, but I sure like this one better!!

  22. This is worthy of so much applause...I love it!! I had just fiddled with one of those wreaths and it didn’t come out nearly as pretty! You’ve outdone yourself and no, it’s not too heavy on design. I am drawn to the soft colors and white, the bow in the corner really sets it off!
